Here at Remote Control, we've got a pretty good handle on how the MTV audience will respond to a new series, but never in a trillion years did we expect "Jersey Shore" to become such a massive sensation and its cast members to become the hottest faces to grace national magazines and late night TV. Even after Season 1's success, we couldn't have fathomed seeing a casual Tweet from John McCain go out to Snooki. But it all happened, and the buzz continues.

You may be surprised to hear that none of the show's stars are taking the fame for granted (hey, they knew they were the s**t long before "Jersey Shore" came along). In a recent interview with RC, JWOWW commented that she makes sure to be humble and appreciative "because it could all be gone tomorrow." Additionally, Snooki said that no matter how big this thing gets ('Breaking: Snooki Goes To The Moon!'), she'll always stay true to herself: "I'm still gonna be shopping at Bebe and Guess."

Check out the video clip below of each of the "Jersey" girls explaining how all the attention has (and hasn't) affected their lives.

As anyone who frequents the Internet knows full well, there's always a negative side to fame: the haters. Still, it's no skin off these ladies' bronze backs -- in fact, they welcome you to bring it. According to Snooks, "If you don't have haters then you know you're not doing it right." And there's no better way to find out if you're doing it right than by constantly Googling yourself. Have a listen for further details:

One woman's trash is another woman's treasure, as proven on last night's episode of "The City." Olivia Palermo helped produce an avantegarde, "garbage bag-chic" fashion shoot with pop star sensation Ke$ha and used her natural instinct for picking the perfect accessories (remember the dragon ring Fergie died for?) to knock things out of the park with a pair of 'filthy' Nicholas Kirkwood heels. Dreck never looked so good!

+ What did you think of this fashion concept? Were you feeling the garbage-chic look, or was it just too outrageous for your taste buds? Take the poll!

On last night's episode of "Downtown Girls," we watched as Victoria painfully discovered that she didn't pass the bar exam. Fresh off the disappointment, her friends lent their support and convinced her to go after the second best career in town -- bartending. While she did deliver an impressive interview audition, we're happy to hear she's still going to chase down her dream of becoming a lawyer.

Elsewhere, Shallon seems to be excelling as a freelance journalist, but she's not unwilling to consider other employment opportunities. Check out this bonus video below where she goes to work for Nikki at her boutique, Nikki Laura. She's not the worst salesgirl we've seen ...

We were intrigued when JWOWW debuted a piece from her body-hugging fashion line, Filthy Couture, at the MTV Movie Awards. The pastel pink lacy number she rocked lingered in our psyche like the Mister Softee jingle. Thankfully, her full line has hit and we can finally put an end to our curiosity.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Jenni invited the cameras to take a look at pieces from her entire collection. Check out the video below, in which the "Jersey Shore" star explains where she got the name for her line, as well as the inspiration behind it. Not sure what to wear to that upcoming wedding this summer? JWOWW suggests the green low-cut dress she's sporting.

Last night's episode of "The Hills" focused primarily on Audrina Patridge's love sorta-triangle (it's not a legitimate wedge just yet, but it is tryst-y looking) between her ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera and her previous ex-beau Justin Bobby. On-air relationships seem to be all-consuming as of late, but there's an even greater Hillzie split happening off-air.

Check out this clip from the "After Show," where hosts Jessi and Dan invite Kristin onto the stage to debunk the Spencer and Heidi rumors. Even though Heidi recently hired a divorce lawyer, K-Cav says that she still believes the whole thing is a crock of sh** -- they'll get the divorce for the publicity, but then reconcile, naturally.

We've always considered ourselves pretty hip when it comes to fashion. We've covered it, bought it and even been inspired by it -- but when we hear Kelly Cutrone drop info on the industry, she might as well be teaching us a new language. On tonight's episode of "The City," Kelly taught young designer Whitney Port a number of vital things about surviving the cutthroat fashion biz, and we took notes:

PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN
What Kelly Said: When showing a fashion line, the most important thing to learn is how to tell buyers "no." Whether it's about altering your designs or receiving stock without payment, the answer is a big fat: NAY! Otherwise, you’re going to be stocking Century 21 and TJ Maxx (we never knew where they got all that great merch from) with your extra inventory.
Takeaway: Know your limits.

NEVER TRUST A BUYER
What Kelly Said: Buyers are merely shopaholics, and even if they have amazing credit, a designer should always get them to put 50 percent down on a sale. As we saw in tonight’s episode, no deal is firm unless you have the cash in hand!
Takeaway: Trust means nothing; credit card numbers mean everything.

BE PREPARED TO DISROBE
What Kelly Said: When a buyer wanted to see Whitney Eve in 3D, Kelly was there to put a little spin on it ("Good thing the designer looks like a model"), and ultimately the sale came down to Whitney’s willingness to, well, take her clothes off.
Takeaway: Always wear nude-colored boy shorts and a strapless bra if you're working a trade show booth.

FOLLOW-UP IS KEY
What Kelly Said: As KC always says, you have to take matters into your own hands if you want something done right. Roxy made an appointment with the buyers of Wink, who had previously shown interest in Whitney Eve, and it was that ambitious move that landed Whit’s line in the storefront.
Takeaway: You won't get something if you don't ask for it.

+ Did Kelly teach you anything on tonight's episode? Let us know!

On tonight's episode of "The Hills," we saw Justin Bobby come face to face with his ex, Kristin (who don't forget, "did things" to him that Audrina never could), for the first time since last season's finale. Back then, we were really pulling for the noncommittal couple to make it work and actually felt optimistic about their chances of riding off into the sunset wearing matching glittery helmets. Unfortunately, something must've gone awry during the break in filming to drive these two apart, which makes us doubly sad since they really looked adorbs tonight in those complementary cutoff vests.

While we were happy to see that the two natural-born players are still on good terms and want the best for each other (Kristin really seems to think JB and 'Drina should give it another whirl!), a nagging elephant in the room question remains: Just why did they call it quits? Below are a few possible absurd theories we put together for our own entertainment pleasure -- take a look, then share with us how YOU think the relationship ended.

Another Man?
Justin met Brody for brunch one day and suddenly realized that the Brodester was not actually sporting a new trend (the men's half-shirt) but his girlfriend Kristin's favorite nightshirt.

Another Woman?
Ever since Vegas, K-Cav couldn't stop thinking about that kiss with Stacie the Bartender and decided she wanted to try something new and different. Ultimately, Stacie broke things off after just three short weeks when she found a crack pipe in her lover's purse. (At least, that's what Lo Bosworth's been leading us to believe.)

Another Gender?
Stephen Colletti sabotaged the relationship by spreading rumors that Kristin was born a dude. (Hey, we knew she had balls!)

Justin Bobby rode onto "The Hills" scene as a disheveled hipster who looked much more suited for a mop and pail than a date with Audrina Patridge. Over the seasons, his taste in women matured (and in some cases, didn't), and thankfully, his eye for fashion followed suit. Let's relive some of the signature looks that have helped define the rocker.

Season 3
Style: Castaway Refugee
Runway Notes: His shagalicious brown locks and desire for all things Rasta made us weary of getting within smelling distance of his mane, his motorcycle or his crude belches. When he wasn't burping, he was dropping some deep thoughts with deceptive eyes and furrowed brows. But admittedly, the guy was kinda hot ...

Season 4
Style: Homeless Chic
Runway Notes: Between the ripped sleeves, graffiti-inspired hats and flannel button-ups, the absence of Justin’s unwashed locks was really the only thing that warranted "chic." He looked a bit like a hobo that got his hands on an occasional single-blade razor. But still hot.

Season 5
Style: Grizzly Adams
Runway Notes: It was almost as if Justin's sense of style backtracked this season. He let his beard run amok and his shoulder-length tendrils were usually entangled in his sun-bleached whiskers (a result of chillin' at Kristin's Malibu beach house). Not as hot, but hot.

Season 6
Style: Jack Sparrow Meets Tommy Hilfiger
Runway Notes: Something strange happened in the off-season -- Justin got a clean shave (maybe even his first ever?). When he resurfaced at the Purple Melon concert, all we could look at was his chin! (Who knew he had one?) While we don't love his outdated Jheri curl, he was looking pretty sharp (and yes, hot) tonight in the cable-knit sweater and structured nautical-appropriate peacoat.

Ask any breakup-to-makeup devotee and they’ll tell you: Hooking up with an ex is (usually) bad news. Rebuilding a relationship with someone who presumably took a dagger to your heart creates a faulty foundation at best. In the case of Audrina Patridge, this really rings true, which is why we think she needs to stay away from Ryan -- and the dating scene in general -- for a while. Justin Bobby and his Paddington Bear peacoat seem to have waltzed in at the very right moment, but our instincts tell us she shouldn't take the bait. Here's why:

1. SHE NEEDS TIME TO HEAL
Just last week, we saw ‘Drina nearly sprint out of the Wango Tango concert when Ryan was performing. She’s obviously holding onto a lot of confusing emotions and needs time to properly figure it all out. If she jumps back into something too quick, she’ll always hang onto those feelings for Ryan.

2. JUSTIN'S PROBABLY NOT THE ANSWER
He might be, but he also might not be. And while the lure of falling into a familiar guy’s arms is a great distraction, just imagine how crappy she’ll feel if/when he mistreats her. Right now, Justin can only be an insufficient sandbag holding back an inevitable emotional storm.

3. HER FRIENDSHIPS NEED QT
All season long, Audrina’s been saying that she misses "girl time." While it doesn’t seem like Kristin, Lo or Stephanie have been upset with her for ditching them for a dude, it’s still time for her to focus on her gal pals and show them her loyalty.

4. HER CAREER IS CALLING
Audrina went to check out the band Purple Melon for Epic Records, but what else has she done for the label lately? Girl needs to get her behind back in the boardroom and move up the corporate ladder before an eager intern takes her spot.

We've already heard from Angelina about how nervous she was to return to "Jersey Shore" for a second season, but the question still remains why she flew the coop in the first place. Was it that bad working at the T-shirt shop? Did she simply want to get back to doing "great things" as a bartender?

In this video clip from our recent interview with the "Kim Kardashian of Staten Island," she explains her main reason for prematurely jumping ship and admits to having plenty of regret about it, especially considering how popular the show and its cast members the Beatles went on to be.
