After last night's "Hills" premiere aired, we posted a poll about whether you thought Lo, Stephanie and Audrina were judging Kristin too harshly for her Miami all-nighters. So far, 40 percent of you have responded "yes" -- though a solid 30 percent say K-Cav may actually be headed for trouble, and her friends are right to be concerned. (Another 30 percent think it's too early to tell.)
Well, the best thing to do when opinions are split is to go straight to the source and ask for the truth, and that's exactly what "After Show" hosts Jessi and Dan did last night when they invited Kristin onto the hot seat.
Check out a clip from Kristin's interview, in which she explains her distance from the girls that weekend and chalks up the partying to being 23 years old and having some fun at the Super Bowl.

When we first met Kailyn, she was living with her boyfriend Jo's parents, Janet and Eddie. They stepped in and helped Kailyn work through all of the challenges she faced as a pregnant teen with little family support. Inspired by reader comments, Janet decided to share a bit more with us.
I didn’t do anything for Kailyn that I wouldn’t do for the next person that walked into my life. God has given me a gift, "my heart," and the ability to see people through theirs. Although I come across as a nice person, I never forget my pain, for it is through my pain that I grow and am able to counsel those that come into my life.
I love Kailyn and my grandson Isaac Elliott just as I love my own three children, Crystal Rose, Jonathan and Eddie Jr., as well as all of my nieces and nephews -- too many to name.
When Kailyn first walked through my door, she was broken. But I saw a strong, smart and beautiful young lady. As my son Jonathan and Kailyn began to express their interest in each other, I stayed alert, but it's impossible for any parent to be everywhere. Once they become sexually active, all I could do was advise and prepare them the best way I thought possible.
Kailyn's childhood pain may be familiar to many people, and I’m sure that almost everyone can relate to her story of rejection. It shows a lot of courage in her to be able to share her story with MTV and its viewers, and hopefully it will help some parents reconsider the choices they make.
Thank you to all for the comments, both good and bad.
Best regards and God bless,
Jo's Mom

For quite some time now, we've been hearing all about Whitney Port's aspirations to become a famous fashion designer -- and on tonight's Season 2 premiere of "The City," all the talky-talk walked the walky-walk. Straight down the Bryant Park runway. Congrats, Whit!
So what did you guys think of the collection? Was Whitney Eve all you expected it to be? Take a look at these photos from her (very well-attended!) first show and sound off: Does Whitney Port have a bright future in the fashion industry?

We witnessed a major first on tonight's Season 2 premiere of "The City." In a tender, proud mama moment with Whitney Port, longtime mentor Kelly Cutrone shed a (happy!) tear or two, and alls we could think at the moment was ... "Who dat?" Hey, we're not used to seeing the Scary Boss Lady get so emotional! (We did know it was possible, however. Did y'all watch the kumbaya season finale of "Kell on Earth"? Our Kleenex got molested.)
We're really diggin' Kelly 2.0, and most importantly, we're not exactly worried homegirl's gonna lose her razor's edge. Just five minutes before her weepy moment with Whit at Bryant Park, she was bleeped by standards for comparing a runway show to "a bad f**k." (Actual quote: "Weeks and weeks of prepping and then it's over.") Keep 'em comin', KC!

On tonight's premiere of "The City," Elle Creative Director Joe Zee put his foot down on the Erin-Olivia sitch. Despite her ultimatum ('she goes, or I go'), Erin is staying on at the magazine as Publicity Director, and Liv will now be working in a different capacity over at the website. The. End. Zee also insisted that the rivals meet for coffee and make up. Again.
Olivia's first assignment as a correspondent for Elle.com was to interview fashion designer Anna Sui following her runway show. She gave an overall fumble-free performance and even followed Joe's advice order by meeting up with Erin later on for a let's-play-nice date. Erin sorta-complimented Liv on her Anna Sui interview and said she was psyched to work together as a team, but we all saw right through her forced smile. (Plus, judging by the trailer, we don't think their peace accord will last very long.)
+ Is Olivia cut out for her new position at Elle.com, or was her well-executed interview just a case of beginner's luck? Take the poll!

Tonight's much-anticipated "Hills" premiere was a bit of a bummer. Not because it didn't deliver the drama or hold our attention -- it did that 10-fold -- but because it was actually painful to hear Heidi Pratt confess to having little confidence prior to her plastic surgeries.
Doesn't just about every late-bloomer stuff her bra when she's younger? (Maybe not with "water balloons," but still...) Don't many women feel fat/fug once in a while, even to the point of obsessing over diet and exercise? But at what point does this type of body-consciousness cross the line from normal female behavior into something that greatly affects your self-esteem, as well as your relationships with loved ones?
For "Hills" fans who don't get a chance to watch MTV's "True Life" series, a few weeks ago we aired an episode entitled "True Life: I Hate My Face." It featured two young women with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), a condition described by the Mayo Clinic as "a type of chronic mental illness in which you can't stop thinking about a flaw with your appearance -- a flaw either that is minor or that you imagine." At the end of the doc, neither girl was "cured" of her BDD (or even became more comfortable in her own skin) despite undergoing plastic surgery.
By no means are we diagnosing Heidi with BDD -- we're not doctors. Plus, as she said in tonight's show, she's never been happier. Unfortunately, it's probable that many viewers who watched the episode or have been following Heidi's transformation do in fact suffer from BDD, so we thought it was important to help raise awareness and point out resources.
Our outsides matter very much in America -- we're not approving or condemning it, rather simply acknowledging it. The closest thing we have to royalty are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, two of the most attractive people you could ever lay eyes upon, but the vast majority of us don't look like glamorous celebrities. By now, we've put superstars like "Brangelina" on such a pedestal and on the covers of so many magazines that they've ceased to be real people. So here we are, getting real and suggesting you do some research, talk to a friend and/or seek professional help if you suspect you may have BDD.
+ Have you ever considered getting plastic surgery? Take the poll and see where you stand amongst your peers.

Months ago, the tabloids unveiled all sorts of goss surrounding Kristin Cavallari's social life, and rather than eat it up/jump to a million conclusions, we decided to wait for Season 6 to find out the real story for ourselves. Well, we've got (some) clarity after tonight's "Hills" premiere.
While in Miami for the Super Bowl, Kristin split off from her fellow Hillzies and did her own thing. (Was it because Brody was mackin' on Audrina? Or maybe she just doesn't like those ladies anymore?) Stephanie, Lo and Audrina assumed the worst, and after a few of Kristin's all-nighters, they tag teamed her (they tend to do that) with accusations of some serious stuff -- like being a crackhead.
+ Think the girls were overreacting, or does K-Cav really look like she's headed for trouble? Take the poll!

On tonight's episode of "The Hills," post-op Heidi Pratt returned home to Colorado to unveil her new face to the family. She hoped her mom would see how happy she was, but instead, Darlene gave her daughter a hard time, claiming that the "old Heidi" was more confident (and "beautiful") than this one.
At dinner, her parents cranked it up a notch, taking jabs when Heidi's delicate jaw caused her to limply gnaw on a burger. It's possible that they didn't know how to handle so much change, or maybe they were trying to prove a point. Either way, it was clear that Heidi's family was not in favor of her latest upgrade.
+ Heidi altered her appearance drastically, and that's bound to be upsetting to her mom and stepdad -- but then again, it's her body. Whose side are you on? Take the poll, plus tell us if you think Darlene went too far with the ribbing.

Based on the trailer, we're really not sure what to expect (well, besides accusations of drug abuse, some deterioration of sanity and a new, er, face) from "The Hills" Season 6 premiere. Guess all we can do right now is hope for the best -- and expect the worst. So let's get this glorious final season started, shall we?
10:00 p.m. Love how Lo's so politically correct when mentioning Heidi's surgeries to Steph Pratt: "There's been talk of ..."
10:02 p.m. They named the episode "Put On A Happy Face." Oh. Snap. Wait. Really?
10:05 p.m. They’re holding off on showing Heidi’s face. Teases! I assume this is the show editors’ strategy to build anticipation, and it’s kinda working. (How cool would it be if when we finally see her, it’s the face of Lauren Conrad!)
10:07 p.m. No, Ma, the brows are not going to "come down a little."
10:09 p.m. Heidi pretty much just compared elective surgery to brain surgery. I realize this is a live blog, and I’m supposed to share all of my uncensored opinions -- but I think we just need to buck up, move forward and skip the commentary on that gem. (If, however, YOU would like to share a comment, we do have a special place for that below.)
10:11 p.m. Darlene just said that Heidi was "much more beautiful" pre-op. Wow, that's hard to hear, and she's not MY MOM. Oof.
10:13 p.m. OK, here comes K-Cav with the shots. And the jealous stare. Audrina better blow that club before byotch marks her territory with a bevvy to the face.
[During this first commercial break, I will attempt to juggle a bottle of Coke Zero on my head while cropping a photo of Heidi's mom crying.]
10:17 p.m. OK, we're back ... and Kristin suddenly sounds like Kirstie Alley. Oh, she got home at 5 a.m. Got it!
10:19 p.m. The "frozen" face comment from Heidi's stepdad? Kinda mean. The "blender" comment from Darlene? Really mean. Time to chill, Heidi's parents. She didn't have her feelings removed during surgery.
10:21 p.m. Lo is against being in a space with "crackheads." When did Miami become the new Skid Row?
[Ah, commercial break No. 2. Needed it. Feeling just a wee bit overwhelmed by all the serious stuff going down. And judging by the way the girls are judging K-Cav, things are only about to get more intense.]
10:27 p.m. Looks as if Drina, Lo and Steph are gearing up for some sort of crash intervention. This should go over well with Kirstie Kristin, who's reallllllly hung over.
10:28 p.m. Side note: Despite the need of some shampoo, Kristin looks supercute in those shades. Big pimpin'.
10:29 p.m. There's Lo with another crack comment. I just can't seem to picture Kristin smoking the pipe in one of her pretty, sequined dresses, can you? Or maybe crack's the new designer drug?
10:30 p.m. It's good to see Heidi leaving Colorado. That was a rough visit, srsly. Gotta give the girl props for sticking it out without getting all Spencer on her moms.
10:31 p.m. Coming up this season: Looks like more interventions, jealous catfights and a very special breakdown performed by Spencer (to a creepy nursery jingle).
And now, on to "The City" premiere!
10:34 p.m. Whitney's planning a fashion show at Bryant Park, and she's got like 15 minutes to prepare. Who's genius plan was this? (Whatevs, we'd take it on in a heartbeat.)
10:35 p.m. Wow, suddenly I'm feeling on top of the world, just like the Pussycat Dolls.
10:37 p.m. Joe Zee is pretty POed about Erin and Olivia's bickering. And don't even get him started on The Ultimatum. Oh, wait, he's gotten started ...
10:38 p.m. Joe says he needs Olivia to work a 9th Step and make amends with Erin. Yes, we very much like the idea of Liv experiencing some humility.
10:41 p.m. Robbie Myers is quite the badass ed-in-chief. She's really pretty, too. But she turns a little scary-looking when she tilts her head in a quick sharp movement and says things like, "We're done" (in a tone that says, "I'll eat you with my morning latte if you put me in this position again").
[Think I'll use this commercial break to ponder Kelly's newest truism about "average people."]
10:47 p.m. Picking models for your runway show seems like fun. I bet you don't get carpal tunnel doing that. Oww.
10:50 p.m. Liv's conducting an almost flawless on-camera interview with Anna Sui. Next time she should just smile. And not that close-lipped smirky smile she likes to give ... a real open-mouthed, I-had-braces-and-it-paid-off one!
10:52 p.m. Whit's pattern maker doesn't seem too pleased she'll have to pull an all-nighter to sew a pair of lace leggings together. No, no one wants to do that.
11:04 p.m. Totally impressed by Whitney's 24 pieces. This collection's come a looooong way since she first started sketching last season. We'd cry a happy tear, but it looks like Kelly's got that covered!
11:05 p.m. Coming up this season: more career blunders, A.D.H.D from Roxy and high-pitched hellos between Erin and Olivia!
Signing off, the carpal tunnel's killing me ...
