After screening the premiere of Teen Mom for seven high school students in Washington, D.C., it's pretty apparent that this new series will spawn just as much conversation as its predecessor, 16 and Pregnant. Take a look at what each of the teen girls said in reaction to seeing the first episode, then share your own comments about Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah's public invitation into their private lives:
"So dramatic. It's a whole new concept that I've never seen." - Sara, 15
"I like it even more than 16 and Pregnant. It encompasses everything that could possibly happen ... all the different outcomes that teens can relate to, especially boy problems." - Zoe, 17
"You can see what teen moms actually do, and it's actually real." - Somalia, 17
After catching up on Maci, Catelynn, Farrah and Amber's stories, the viewers had strong opinions about the young moms: "Farrah is spending way too much time focused on guys. She's still stuck in her old life, but it's not realistic because she has a baby now." - Kowthar, 15
Catelynn and Tyler were still everyone's favorite couple: "You can tell they really care about each other," said Avery, 18. Still, Somalia added, "I thought their life would be the easiest, but it's not easy at all."
Maci and Ryan's relationship was a hot topic after the screening, as was Amber and Gary's: "This really shows that fathers have to step up," said Zoe. "It's sad. You just don't see anyone having a conversation with each other," added Linda, 18.
Overall, the girls said the show made them think about their own lives: "Before they got pregnant, they were just like us." - Maricarmen, 15
