As the competition heats up, the critiques get tougher and the eliminations become more emotional. We were pretty bummed to see David Bennett go at the end of tonight's Starmaker, but the good news is that dude's now filled with new perspective ... and material!
I can’t dispute the decision Diddy and the judges made to eliminate me. They knew what they were looking for, and I had lost track of why I was there in the first place. I feel that some of the contestants had their eyes on the prize, while I was just there for the ride.
My only regret was trying to accommodate the judges by neglecting who I am as an artist. All of that aside, it was a beautiful and memorable experience. The people I met were -- most of the time -- genuine and inspiring.
I am currently working on my first, self-produced album. It is coming along wonderfully, and I never thought I’d say this, but I actually have too much material. Narrowing down the album to a dozen songs has proven to be a challenge. All I can wish for in the future is that my music is heard and hopefully inspires others.
