She may not have left the mansion tonight as Paris Hilton's 'New BFF,' but Desirae definitely made some friends for life! Plus, she went home with a few invaluable fashion pointers. Tip No. 1: Price tags should always be kept private...
I’m not offended that Paris eliminated me. I actually woke up that morning and knew I was going home -- my heart just wasn’t in it anymore. I was sick, throwing up and sleeping the whole day. Plus, I gained 10lbs because I wasn't eating healthy meals. Worst of all, I was getting annoyed with myself and my roommates, which isn’t in my nature.
As for my fashion faux pas, we've all made mistakes when it comes to clothes haha. I guess I just figured Paris was going with the whole "doll" theme that day. And let me just take a second to clear up what happened in Episode 3, when I thought it was OK to mention the price of my dress.
In 2001, Paris herself wore a dress with POKER CHIPS on it and then mentioned on the red carpet that the chips added up to one million dollars! Now, I put Paris in the same category as Rihanna and Megan Fox -- they wear what they want and do what they want -- therefore, I didn't consider it tacky to bring up the cost of my dress because she had done the same thing! But silly me, this isn’t 2001 anymore. Paris has grown up a lot since her early 20s.
As for the other contestants ... I came into this crazy escapade with a very open mind. I wasn't so much trying to find a BFF but rather offer my BFFness to Paris. At the start, I didn’t care to meet anyone else, but that changed VERY quickly.
Amanda was instantaneously my favorite in the house, and we became fast friends. She’s so real, beautiful and comical ... someone I want to keep in contact with forever! Kathaleen (a.k.a. Kaitlin) had eating tips that bugged the sh** out of me, but when it comes down to it, I really liked the girl. She meant well, and we all missed her when she left. (There was no one there to cook us breakfast anymore!) Stephen ... I don’t know where to begin! HE'S HILARIOUS, fabulous, charming, caring and has the best man-boobs I’ve ever seen! Elena's a very exaggerated girl, which is a plus in my book! (I’ve actually snagged one of her tips on wearing makeup: nude lips, smoky eyes.) Tiniecia and I didn’t hit it off at the launch -- I took her "standing off and observing" as being rude -- but I eventually got to know her, and she’s a very cool and down-to-earth individual. Funny as hell and ALWAYS honest, you’re either going to hate Tiniecia then love her, or love her then hate her. Arika's elimination was sad. I wish America could’ve gotten to know her more because she’s a doll, and making out with the bachelor was totally not her style!
Stefanie said I had split personalities because at the beginning I loved her, and by the end I couldn’t stand the girl. Honestly, her crying just became too much. I never knew if it was serious, or if she was doing it to try and get what she wanted. I think Stefanie should’ve stayed home, fixed her issues and become BFFs with her fam first. (Though I do think being on the show helped her grow some, and grasp that she is a very beautiful girl. She definitely grew stronger mentally!) Nicole's voice killed me, but I got a chance to sit with her for an hour and talk, and she’s super smart and a very good speaker. I wish her tons of luck in her acting career. David reminded me of the guy I was with before I went on the show, so I'd be a liar if I said I wasn’t attracted to him.
I don’t like dropping names of those I’ve had issues with because it's totally highschool-ish, but this ONE time it's appropriate … *Monyca and Kirsten didn’t like me, still don’t like me and bring up my name all the time. Harebrained and adolescent? Yes. The show was filmed two months ago, and I’m not the type to dwell on minor things. Life is too short. Get over it, ladies.
All in all, I'm extremely lucky to have made so many great friends, and I still adore and respect Paris. She’s a great woman -- down to earth, witty, caring -- and she deserves a remarkable BFF. I just know she'll find that person this time!
I think I speak for all of the BFFs when I say we are all blessed that Paris gave us this amazing opportunity. I have learned so much from her and thank her for everything.
*I spelled Monica and Kristen's names wrong on purpose.
