We shed a tear for Jay last season when Whitney rejected his grand (but ill-timed) romantic gesture and told him to hit the road. But since then, he's climbed his way back into Whit's good graces, and the two were recently spotted canoodling (best word ever?) in NYC.
Natch, that caught us by surprise (as far as we knew, Whitney was off in L.A., going to parties and making out with a Lipstick Jungle star), but after digesting the news, we came to the conclusion that these two totes belong together. Here are a few reasons why:
+ Jay's not afraid of commitment anymore! ('Member when he told Whitney he loved her in the finale? We think that was actually code for "I promise to stop living rent-free in your apartment and accidentally running into my ex.")
+ He's totally adorbs. Relationships aren't just about looks, but a pretty face never hurts. Plus, that hot Aussie accent pushes him up at least two notches on the attractiveness scale.
+ The passion is back. Unless you can think of another reason to explain why they'd be sucking face in public, completely oblivious to the fact that a) people are staring, and b) they had accidentally stumbled onto the set of Jen Aniston's new movie.
