The Season 5 premiere was so outta control. As far as the main event's concerned, sure, crashing Lauren’s nautical birthday gala was poor decision-making on Heidi’s part. But can you really blame her? Well, maybe a little ... but you can DEFINITELY blame perennial sh*t-stirrer Stephanie for bringing Heidi along, knowing all too well how that would turn out. For shame!
Still, Spencer made Stephanie look like a Peace Corps nun. When we last saw him, Spencer seemed like he might turn over a new leaf, exceeding our super-low expectations by, uh, not forcing Heidi to marry him in a courthouse. But Monday night he actually managed to out-do himself by lying to Heidi about hitting on that busty bartender. Boo! To his credit, Spencer did well by putting tattle-texter Cameron in his place –- serves him right for trying to out-do Spencer!
All things considered, this was an awesome start to the fifth season. It’ll be great to see LC tie up all of her loose ends before she leaves the show (frowny face). See you next week with another recap of The Hills, Detox style!
