Hard as it is to believe, not all of us have had our lives personally touched by the war in Iraq. Sure, we've seen the statistics, watched the news and stood up for "God Bless America" at ballgames, but there's a difference between reading an op-ed about Baghdad -- and finding out that one of your friends is heading off to the front lines.
Ryan, we'd like to thank you for sharing your story with us this season, and let you know that we're profoundly moved by your courage, strength and loyalty to your country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family and all your fellow soldiers. Keep singing, keep writing and, most importantly, get home safe.
