T.I. was first introduced to real world mathematics in the 6th grade, when a teenage hustler outside the grocery store explained that he could turn $50 into $120 by selling crack on his way home. And while the rap mogul's about to learn the ultimate life lesson when he's sentenced to prison in 45 days, there are thousands of young people who currently turn to hustling to keep their families sheltered and well fed.
As part of T.I.'s community service, he agreed to spend the next six weeks trying to shake some sense into these kids while MTV's cameras followed.
During tonight's premiere of T.I.'s Road to Redemption, you met the first guy on his list: Pee Wee from ATL, a weed-dealing school dropout whose father was shot dead by his "sister's daddy." Pee Wee, who at one time heard there was a hit out on him, talks a lot of nonsense (or so Tip remarks), but it's easy to understand why and how he became a hustler.
T.I. made a deal with Pee Wee -- "I'll take some of your advice if you take some of mine" -- and after a disturbing trip to the county jail and a local funeral home, Pee Wee was ready to keep off the streets and start being more positive.
Our question: Do you think Pee Wee's reformed for good? The episode ended with him staying out of trouble for a total of three weeks, but can the lessons T.I. taught him stick with him forever? Take our poll and tell us: Think Pee Wee will make it?
