'Member the first time Whitney and her rocker bf, Jay Lyon, met at that Il Bastardo bar in NYC? All it took was a couple of guitar chords and a whiff of that hunky Aussie accent and Alex (of high cheekbones/sad trucker hat fame) was all but forgotten. Natch, we wanted to know what all the fuss was about, so we did a little digging on Jay's band, Tamarama.
Turns out, our girl Whit's onto something. These swoonworthy indie folk rockers (who all hail from Sydney, Australia) are led by Jay and his pal Nick "Pottsy" Potts -- who looks like Zack Morris and sings like John Mayer. And in addition to being pretty (which, trust us, they totally are!) they've got a laid-back, Jack Johnson-meets-Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe. (Like the Beach Boys, only hot! And, you know, not old.)
