It seems like only yesterday that we were watching Creepa (Excuse us, Thaddeus Martin) take home the top prize on From G’s to Gents. But in reality, it’s actually been two long months. So has the reformed gangsta gone back to his goonish ways since winning the show? Not if Fonzworth Bentley has anything to say about it.
”I want to make sure he stays focused,” says Bentley, who makes a point of phoning Creepa (Sorry, we just can’t get used to calling him “Thaddeus”) on a near-daily basis. “I need to make sure he doesn’t let temptations like a fast life get him, especially now that he has that money in his pocket. I hired a financial manager for him. I want to keep him serious.”
Awww, that Fonzworth is so dedicated! Just like Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady! You know, the dude who (in Creepa’s words) “snatched [Eliza Doolittle] out the ‘hood and taught her how to act.”
And fortch, this reality tv fairy tale has an equally happy ending!
After finally getting his hands on the prize money (Seriously, what was up with that delay??), Creepa was able to save his mama’s house from foreclosure (”That was a good feeling,” he admits) and still have enough cash left over to start his own indie record label (Born to Shine Entertainment) and non-profit organization (A-plus Kids).
So give it up for Creepa, y’all, the first-ever winner of MTV’s From G’s to Gents. Now who’s ready for season 2??
