A few weeks ago, Heidi Montag got sacked for committing the cardinal sins of inviting her pals along to a work-only affair and singlehandedly causing a tequila shortage. And when a chance meeting with her former boss, Brent Bolthouse, only made things worse (instead of rehiring her on the spot, Bolthouse reamed her out for having a "nightmare" boyfriend"), it looked like Heidi's days in PR were officially over.
That is, until she scored a meeting with Bolthouse's not-so-silent partner, Sam Nazarian, who reluctantly agreed to give her another shot -- but only after he called her into the principal's office and scolded her like a schoolgirl.
Yep, from the minute Heidi gave her name at the front desk (Intimidation Tactic #1: Make her come to you) we knew there was gonna be trouble. Check out our play-by-play of how Sam put Heidi in her place and learn how to intimidate like a pro by reading on for Intimidation Tactics #2-5.

Fortch, Sam was quickly onto his next trick ... Intimidation Tactic #2: Cut her off every step of the way. Sure, Heidi was able to slide in a quick "Thanks for seeing me," but Sam was off and running (read: asking Heidi a barrage of rhetorical questions) before she could even say, "Sorry about the whole drinking-on-the-job thingie."
And from there, of course, it was only a hop, skip and a jump to Intimidation Tactic #3: Sneak in a personal dig by pretending to take the moral high ground. [Example: "The Spencer thing I don't even get, but that's your own problem. I don't like to get involved with the personal stuff."]

Truth is, any amateur can master steps 1-3. But it takes a veteran intimidater to nail Intimidation Tactic No. 4: Look bored and disinterested whenever she's talking. For this one, it's imperative to refrain from giving compliments. Like Sam, emphasize your object of intimidation's mediocrity by pausing for effect mid-praise and substituting a less kind adjective at the last possible moment. [Example: Listen, you do gr-- (pause) good work."]

At this point, you're ready to move in for the kill... Intimidation Tactic No. 5: Rehire the person (but only on a trial basis). Make sure that you reemphasize your concerns about her work ethic and crappy boyfriend (you know, the one who you're too professional to mention). Finish up by interrupting your "new" employee repeatedly and saying something inherently negative (eg. "Please don't let us down this time.")
+ All joking aside, Heidi's definitely put up with a lot (from Brent AND Sam) to get a second chance at PR stardom. Think she'll be able to prove herself this time around? Or will she be too caught up in her relationship with Spencer to focus on her new (old) job?
