Today we heard from People.com, who heard from Audrina Patridge (who heard from ... Keebler elves? Justin Bobby? White Tie Affair?) that a) The Hills WILL be renewed for a fifth season, and b) LC's newish beau, Kyle Howard, WILL NOT appear on it, like, maybe ever.
According to Audrina, the cast hit a point recently where they were uncertain about whether to move forward with the show:
“... All of us were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do another season.' I wanted to do more movies, and Whitney moved to New York and she’s doing her own spin-off. And Lauren’s dating [My Boys actor] Kyle [Howard] but he can’t be on the show because he’s on another show, so that makes it hard.”
Hmm, is all this for reals? Uh, who knows? (I mean, certainly not us. We know when to plead the fifth season, unlike others...)
'Drina sure was in a talkative mood and also divulged whether she still suspected LC and Justin Bobby of hooking up behind her back:
“... One of his best friends told me that, and I called Lauren and she [hung] up on me. And then once I sat them down and talked to them, I was like, ‘Okay, this is all I needed!’ You’ll see it on the show. It was very emotional.”
For her part, LC's keeping mum on rumors of a fifth season being greenlighted. She reportedly told BostonHerald.com, "I’m actually not allowed to talk about that and I don’t think she was either." She also declined to comment on Kyle, saying, "There are very few things that I keep to myself." Sure, but why choose this one?? Guess we'll just have to bet on our girl Audrina spilling all the (unconfirmed) beans from now on...
