What started out as absurd gossip may now mark the beginning of the end for two longtime Hills friendships. Lauren Conrad has publicly pleaded her case -- she would never, could never -- but Audrina Patridge still seems iffy about whether or not to believe rumors that Justin Bobby and her ex-roommate secretly hooked up.
During a taping of the Ellen DeGeneres Show this morning, Audrina expressed her confusion: "Neither of them have really talked to me or made an effort, so I really don't know what to believe. I don't want to believe it." According to Patridge, LC actually hung up the phone when Audrina called to get some clarity: "That was my way of making an effort and asking her. I never accused anyone. I just straight-out asked them if they did it or not, and I don't know what to believe."
Well, as Justin Bobby once said, "truth and time tell all." But will the full story trickle in too late? On Monday's Hills, we saw that Audrina and Justin's relationship already hangs in the balance. And things have been awkward between Audrina and LC for quite some time -- despite their makeup session during Episode 5, reports were confirmed two weeks ago that Audrina had checked out of Casa Conrad to live on her own. Are either of these relationships strong enough to brave this shizstorm of never-ending gossip?
