The groups got a bit nervous this week as they watched their BFFN (Best Friends For Now), 3 Daze, unexpectedly pack up their dreams and board Top Pop Group's Elimination Express. "It's anyone's game" Las Caprice's Talita said to me as she rushed to get her make up fixed for today's photo shoot. "I just don't know what America wants right now. The scene is changing so much." And it's true. Pop music has been reinventing itself silly these past few years. Unlike other eras, there isn't one dominant sound.
MTV's Top Pop Group is doing it's best to define pop stardom today, but the question still remains: Is it the singing? Is it the dancing? The cute butts? Having faced elimination at the hands of the voters, the East Coast boys of NJ5ive put it like this: "I mean... we get a lot of feedback from the judges, but the most important thing right now is what the voters are looking for."
So, what are you looking for, America?
