Paris Hilton has never exactly been afraid of overexposure. A firm subscriber of the belief that all press is good press, Paris has mastered the art of stealing the spotlight, establishing herself as a regular tabloid fixture, reality tv star, and fashion icon whose style mantra can be summed up in three words: less is more.
And in light of Paris' knack for ubiquity, it probably shouldn't come as too much as a surprise that she has not one but TWO upcoming television projects in the works.
First up, of course, is her new MTV reality gig, Paris Hilton's My BFF, in which the heiress searches for a brand new bestie who can keep up with her glam lifestyle AND fill Nicole Richie's eensy-weensy Manolo Blahniks. And after that, it seems Paris will be teaming up with Ryan Seacrest's production company for an as-yet-untitled scripted tv gig.
Natch, we can't help but wonder what exactly this might entail. If it were a reality vehicle, we'd assume it was some sort of kitschy game show (like Who Wants to Be Tinkerbell's Assistant? or When You're Rich, The Price Is ALWAYS Right) but the whole "scripted" thing has really thrown us for a loop.
+ Will Paris be the quirky, Pheobe-like friend on a new sitcom? A naughty nurse in a hospital drama? A revamped Mary Tyler Moore? Let us know if you have any ideas, plus get your Paris fix by checking out the Paris Hilton's My New BFF casting special tomorrow night at 6pm.
