Monday, August 25, marks the official premiere of Busted, an MTV cop show that puts the spotlight on those people extremely vulnerable to alcohol poisoning while playing a game of "I Never." These are not the stories of hardened criminals, rather wrong time/wrong place victims with typically slurred speech and/or bad grammar. Tonight you tuned in after The Hills premiere for a special "Sneak Peek," which included the story of Richard, who maniacally jumped from a moving vehicle, and some really drunk girls who may or may not have been soliciting for sex. Yowsers! Below, the Busted producer on both of these stories, Kara, blogs below about her experience shooting the incidents...
On Richard... When we pulled Richard over there was a massive panic. No one expected him to jump out of the vehicle while it was still running! My heart was pounding and the cameraman took off sprinting on foot. Unfortunately, he forgot to unlock my door. Most patrol cars have the locks disabled in the back seat so a perpetrator cannot escape, so I literally had to climb over the front seat to get out of the vehicle. I tripped on my climb over and came crashing to the asphalt. I must have looked completely disheveled the cops actually thought for a moment I may have been Richard's passenger in his vehicle!

When we first heard this call over the radio, we thought they said "two people" were having sex in a public restroom at a popular bar. We were giggling the whole way over thinking we were going to break up a couple "having a good time." We were shocked to discover that two women were potentially soliciting for sex in a Redondo Beach bar. When the girls came outside it was clear they had been drinking a lot. They were slurring their words and getting really mouthy with the officers. Definitely not a Kodak moment for either of them.
