Robots Are Not The Future: Buh Bye, Boogies

To go out in style and with humility — that’s what previous fallen crews have strived for, and the Boogie Bots achieved just that tonight in spite of a ruthless Lil Mama. Sure, sure… maybe she had some good points, but wasn’t there a nicer way to say it?

Before it was official, the Bots unfortunately had a sneaking suspicion they’d meet their fate tonight. But they kept their cool and (literally) bowed out of the game like pros. After taping, I asked them all about their gesture, and they said it was “to give the audience the respect back that they gave us.” Hear more from the Boogie Bots backstage after the show.

Who Was The Worst Sport On This Week’s G’s to Gents?

This week on From G’s to Gents, Fonzworth evaluated the guys on their sportsmanship (i.e. forced them to wear dorky sweater vests while playing street ball with a bunch of “goons.”) Unfortunately, once the G’s got off the court, they weren’t exactly team players. Cee was back to his old tricks, manipulating the easily-angered D-Boy into rallying the guys against Kesan.

Ultimately, J. Boogie got kicked out for being a “wanna-G,” but there were more than enough etiquette fouls to go around. Which is why I want to know who you guys think was the worst sport?

(a) Cee, because he’s a pathological liar — and cause he was totally overacting during that whole phone meltdown scene
(b) D-Boy, because he’s still all riled up about the “Yo mama” episode (Hello, that was sooo last week!)
(c) Kesan, because he’s semi-responsible for all the drama in the house
(d) Stan, because there’s always the possibility that he’ll do an impromptu striptease

Sound off in the comments and let me know which “G” you think deserves an “F” in sportsmanship.

Hills‘ Brody Jenner: It’s Complicated

Apparently, Brody’s tired of all those jokes about his joblessness. The Hills (and soon-to-be Bromance) star has decided to clear the air — and officially debunk rumors that he’s living off his parents’ dough and allergic to hard labor.

“One of the biggest misconceptions people have of me is that I am supported by my parents. I want to say that I totally make all my own money and pay all my own bills and have done so for the past six years,” Brody tells Fox News. “Some people think all I do is party and that’s how I get paid. Well, no — I’m 24, and of course I like to have a good time, but I have a life and a work schedule. I do happen to work hard during the day, but people don’t see that.”

Geez, first came Audrina, then Lauren and now the Brody man’s dropping hints about how he’s totally misunderstood. Are all of the Hills guys and gals really superheroes with secret double lives? How different do you guys think the cast members are from the “characters” they play on the show?

‘Daily Buzz’: Shwayze’s Tardy Slip, Part I

The boys of Shwayze graciously lugged around a video camera the entire time MTV’s Buzzin’ was filming — so not only will you get to see them chasing stardom each Wednesday at 10:30pm EST, but you’ll also find them partying after show time, fighting with fans in bar bathrooms, and feeling the hangovers come sunrise… all here, all the time, on Remote Control!

Last night on Buzzin’, there was a bit of a situation involving a car, a girl, and legendary musician turned Reality TV whore, Dave Navarro. In this vlog, watch Shwaze mid panic attack as he waits for Warren’s car, which is out of gas. And they’re both out of money. Good times.

Check back tomorrow for Part II.

Bots Stick to Their Guns, Burn the Midnight Oil

We touched on this earlier, but better to hear the story straight from the source…

During this week’s rehearsals, the Boogie Bots spent way too much time and effort working on a routine that was meant to impress the judges… but it didn’t sit well with their conscience. What kind of crew are you if you’re not dancing for your fans?

So at the 11th hour, the Bots choreographed another number that suited their style more, which ultimately meant sleep would be out of the question. Good thing robots don’t need any…

New Book To Shake Up The House That Run Built?

How would you react if your mom and dad told you they’d written a guide to parenting — and used you and your brothers and sisters as case studies? Well, that’s exactly what the Simmons siblings are asking themselves next week, after thumbing through manuscripts of Rev Run and Justine’s new book, “Take Back Your Family.”

Check out this sneak peek from Wednesday’s all-new Run’s House and stay tuned for more updates on the book that puts Rev’s life lessons in black and white. (Blackberry, Jacuzzi tub and bubble bath solution sold separately).

The Saga Continues: Lil Mama Faces Off with Bots

There’s been a big stir over Lil Mama’s Boogie Bots comments from last week, so when I bumped into her at Tuesday night’s taping, I made sure to ask all about it. In the below video, Lil Mama fills you in on the hard parts of being a judge. Off camera she told me that she’s “going to be very clear tonight” with the crews and that she promises to have a heart-to-heart of sorts with the Boogie Bots while they’re on stage. Hmm, we have a strong feeling that her version of a heart-to-heart might involve talking more smack — just to their faces this time.

JC Gives Thanks for Not Making Him Puke

JC and Shane had much to say backstage when we caught up with them before this week’s taping. JC told us that Fanny Pak’s performance last week was their worst, but that SoReal stepped it up and they no longer make him nauseous. Shane was impressed by the Boogie Bots. On top of everything, both guys were feeling honored (and excited like little kids) to be doing their judging duties next to Missy Elliott. Note to JC: Hef called, he wants his metal ascot back.

What are your predictions for tonight? Which crew deserves to STAY, and which just needs to GO already?

Lauren Conrad Changes the Face of Entertainment

It’s almost as if the world was flat until The Hills came along — that’s how big the show’s become. And the current buzz is louder than a hot pink Heidiwood hoodie… Hooray for the start of Season 4!

In latest Hills news, Lauren Conrad graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly, which includes a juicy story about the show’s filming process. Man, seems like just yesterday that LC was feeling homesick and socially awkward at fashion school in San Francisco, and now she’s (literally) the new face of entertainment.
