Kickoff time! America's Best Dance Crew's first show is taping as I type, and the audience inside Stage 23 is already verging on losing their voices. Check out these backstage pics of Randy, JC, and Lil Mama hanging tight.
We'll be coming at you later with fan predictions from the stands, but here's a hint: "sass" and "fanny" aren't their favorite words. In the meantime, here are some things you would have never guessed (at least I didn't until setting foot on set):
1) The actual taping runs over three hours, and it takes 650 audience members to pack the house.
2) The crews rehearse seven days a week... all day long.
3) Shane Sparks smells like Bath & Bodyworks. Cleanest man in showbiz!
4) After a crew is eliminated, they must pack their bags and fly home that night. (Hey, it's cost efficient.)
5) Mario wears an ear-to-ear smile even when the cameras aren't rolling. He's a very happy person.
