Ever since the first Shot at Love with Tila Tequila premiered last year, one might argue that society has changed for the better. And that one -- and only -- person is Tila Tequila herself. Girlfriend recently told Us magazine that she's partly responsible for the state of California lifting its ban on gay marriage: "It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement. Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships... Then they realized, 'Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.' The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal."
Easy Peezy! Maybe we can get Tila to work on affordable health care next? After all, many of the contestants on Shot at Love have spent quality time in hospital emergency rooms... Oh, wait, that doesn't really have anything to do with getting legislation passed, does it? Hmm...
