Rev Run And Kool-Aid Say ‘Oh, Yeeeeeah!’ To Helping Kids

rev-run-grintable.JPG

What do Reverend Run and the giant Kool-Aid Man have in common? Well, in addition to sharing that giant, ubiquitous grin, they’re also teaming up with KaBoom!, a non-profit organization dedicated to building playgrounds for inner-city kids. As PR Newswire reports:

“Kool-Aid has also created a partnership with hip-hop pioneer Joseph Simmons (a.k.a. Reverend Run), who will serve as the new brand ambassador for the Kool-Aid KaBOOM! initiative. He and his family will don hard hats and wield shovels as they join the brand on local community build sites.”

Wait, so in addition to boasting a hit reality tv show and adoring family, Rev Run also has a genuine concern for child welfare and a willingness to get down and dirty? Now, Kool-Aid has always been my sugary fruit beverage of choice, but pure, unadulterated benevolence? What could be sweeter than that?
