MTV's True Life producers have kindly thrown together an informative Q&A for all you viewers who were left dazed and confused by tonight's clown parents:
Along with casting, we loved shooting this show. The pie fight was some of the most fun we've ever had at work...
We laughed constantly and the characters could not have been nicer to us (we even walked away with our very own self-inflating whoopie cushion) And we have all agreed that if the ratings are not through the roof for this show, we'll look into Clown College.

Q&A
We thought that we would answer some questions we know you're going to have for us... but welcome any other questions you might have.
HOW DID THE CLOWN PARENTS MEET?
The clown parents met when the circus came to town -- a certain glance and a special wink and one crazy clown was smitten with a townie, but it took her a little longer for them to be convinced that these two crazy lovelorn kids should shack up and start a little clown family (one day to be exact). They spent a week planning everything about their lives (except triplets) then she joined the circus and the rest is history...
WHERE WAS NIKI'S DAD DURING THE SHOW?
He is a third generation Beverly Hills plumber and the total opposite of Kinley (Niki's mom) -- he is quiet, reserved and low key -- which is why when the cameras were around he made himself scarce.
MORE RANDOM FACTS ABOUT THE EMBARRASSING PARENTS CHARACTERS:
CLOWN FAMILY:
1. Candy's dad played a clown in the Rob Zombie video "More Human Than Human." He said it was not his trademarked face and the only way you could really recognize him is if we told you, wink wink.
2. Some of their close friends are Ronald McDonald, Bozo the Clown and a cattle inseminator (can you imagine a bad day at work for that guy?)
3. Candy wants to be a musician but her fallback career plan is to be a clown.
4. Candy's dad is also a stunt man - he teaches people how to do stunts in a "funny way."
5. It took forever for the clowns to get the whipped cream from the pies out of the driveway and their costumes.
RECIPE FOR CLOWN PIE:
One aluminum foil pie pan
Fill generously with whipped cream.
Serve quickly and at a vertical angle.
NIKI:
1. Niki's mom talks incessantly, about anything and everything...and then some(this isn't anything she doesn't know). One of the things we love about Kinley is that she has the ability to laugh at herself.
2. Niki's parents met when they were in High School and Kinley was 14.
They've been married for 20 years.
3. Niki's mom brought her to see a Spiritual Healer to help with their issues, and it did absolutely no good.
4. Kinley and her friend are still waiting on a call from Heff to get into the Playboy mansion. The pictures they took were to get into the infamous Midsummer Night's Dream Playboy Party that is held at the mansion in August. Personally, we think Kinley is the life of any party and Heff would be a fool not to put her on the list...
THE PRODUCERS WOULD LIKE TO NOTE THAT NO CLOWNS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS DOCUMENTARY.
