This Week’s Tip from ‘Paper’ Teach

Lesson No. 4: Give it the write stuff.
Write a news story the way you’d tell it to your friend. If someone asks you about last night’s football game, you don’t answer this way: “First there was the kickoff. Then the team had the ball for three plays. Then they kicked away.” News shouldn’t be told in chronological order like that. The first thing you would tell your friend would be: “The team won!” Or, “the team lost! And there was this amazing play when someone ran 40 yards!” Get right to the point as soon as possible, and then write from most important and interesting to least important.

  1. For the love of god, will someone please cancel this terrible show!?!?!?
  2. Does anyone know if Mrs Weiss is married?
  3. Oh my gosh! This show reminds me so much of my Yearbook class that I am the advisor of. At least now I know that my class is not the only one who is chaotic.
Thank you, I have learned from watching this show.
  4. omg! we love this show. it reminds us so much of our school and staff! it is amazing. all the drama and hell we have gone through this year to produce our yearbook and what we know our newspaper did made us laugh now that we know others have the same drama we do... IN LOVE WITH THE PAPER!
  5. Yes MRS. Weiss is married. She's married to Mr. Weiss.
  6. I LOVE THIS SHOW, AMANDA IS SOOOOOO HOT
  7. Hahahaha, this show is ridiculous. Amanda is crazy. It's cool to know that people are seeing the craziness that goes on behind the scenes, cause at my school paper I know we all go through a lot of stress just to get the 16 page paper we put out with a ten person staff. But, Alex definitely should have gotten editor in chief, he stepped it up when Amanda had no clue what to do.
    Plus, he's mad hot. :D
  8. The inverted pyramid. Classic.
  9. This show sucks, get canceled already/
  10. I agree with the last few posts, Ms. (Mrs?) Weiss you don't seem to be much of an impact on ayting. Since you are the ultimate authority it is your job alone to prevent the problems arising in your classroom. If I was your supervisor I would not be pleased by the way that you conduct your class, you don't appear to teach much to the class as a whole or to the individual and students raise their voices and walk out on a whim. The lack of respect directed from student to student is more an indictment of your lack of ability to control the environment as much it is their own selfish actions.
