How Do You Real Worlders Really Feel About Brianna?

In this video from RealWorldDailies.com, While Dave is quick to defend girls like Brianna, who got into stripping because she needed the money quickly, Kim says being a dirty dancer is just an “easy way out” for chicks who don’t want to work 40 hours a week. Thoughts, anyone?

  1. Dave is really cool and honest. He is really understanding and looks at situations from different angles. On the other hand, I think Kim and Sarah are really shallow minded. I cant blame Kim because of how she was brought up, but Sarah should be a lot smarter than Kim but apparently she's not. Anyway, I think everyone else is cool.
  2. I started dancing when I was homeless. It was quick money indeed. Other than the money, I started because they did not ask for the required address that regular job applications ask for. I was able to get an apartment very quickly. I must say it is an addicting job. I still dance. I dance 12 hour shifts 5 days a week. I wouldn't call it easy. It's like doing an aerobic video for 12 hours as I'm a high energy dancer. As far as Kim comparing it to prostitution, sure it may be in the "entertainment industry", but that line is never crossed at my club. It is "You touch and you go". I started feeling as though I had no other choice when my friend talked me into it, but now I continue doing it by choice, it's definitely an addicting job which is probably why Brianna hasn't quit yet. I have run into a lot of people like Kim, but most end up seeing that I'm pretty cool, and they forget that I dance and see me for who I am. Most of the guys that come into the club are really nice, and believe it or not enjoy the conversations. I don't feel degraded or disrespected. I'm just dancing, that's all.
  3. I turned the show off after that comment about stripping and, indirectly, Brianna. Kim's ignorance paired with her judgmental streak and big mouth are infuriating.

Kim, you judge others by your limited knowledge. You pretend to get to know someone (Brianna)not to actually learn about others but to gather ammunition to fuel your tirades. You have shown that much already. You acted "interested" in stripping, then wailed for Brianna to "get on her pole."

You have very weak character, and I'm not talking about a role you're playing for MTV. You show no tact or even compassion. You strike me as someone who blames the "victim" for their circumstances - ones you have surely never faced. I can also assure you that the "black" and "poor" friends you claim to have probably can't stand you and find you patronizing.

Strippers are LAZY? You have obviously never been inside a strip club. The athleticism and physical strength of most of these ladies is astonishing. Can you hold yourself upside down on a narrow pole by the strength of your quadriceps? I doubt it. Pair the physical demands of stripping with the taxing emotional labor and it's pretty clear these women are far from lazy. Have you ever even HELD a job? I doubt that as well.

As far as McDonald's, why don't you try having a family to support as let's say a single mother? Try arranging your transportation, daycare, and taking care of household expenses, not to mention medical care, with your minimum wage job. Oh, and by the way, there is no mommy and daddy to turn to when money gets tight. Let me know how that works out for you.

And in the off chance you read this, and assume I am a stripper, "scum of the earth" and lazy, I am a working professional with a college degree. I just happen to be open to the fact that all people have not been given the same advantages.

Kim, you have absolutely no right to judge anyone. Do everyone a favor, close your mouth, open your ears and free your mind.
  4. ii thiink bree has no class ii dont care iif she striips thats beyond the poiint ii could careless what she does for a liiviing. the way she dresses what she was goiing to wear to court?! come on shorts?!? thats just rediiculous. . the shoes have got to go that miight be ok for a striip club but get diifferent kiinda clothes to go out iin . . you are makiing money riight?! well lets dress liike iit. . ii just dont liike her ii thiink shes gunna turn out to be fake
  5. I have to respond to Christina's comments.
Christina, the word is have not half.......I have to comment, not I half to comment and she doesn't have anyone, not she doesn't half anyone.
Just thought you should know the difference in case your teachers aren't sharing that info with you.
  6. While I may not agree completely with Kim, I can certainly see where she is coming from. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if she doesn't agree with it, then that's fine. Those of you who do think it is respectful, that is fair too.

My one complain with Brianna is, that not only is she a stripper, but she is a girl who is dealing with criminal charges and is sleeping around. She is being a careless person and it's reflecting the stereotypes of her profession. If strippers are to be respected, then people like Brianna should not behave like the 'stupid-slutty-stripper' stereotype.
  7. I don't think Kim was being judgemental... she was just rejecting the argument that Dave was making. His claim that "there are no other options" is just not true. McDonalds, a gas station, waitressing, these are all other options. Maybe not better options, but they are there.
As someone said before, people strip for lots of reasons, money probably being the main one. But to say that you have no other means of making money is ridiculous. No matter where you live, where you come from, or what your education is. Bri isn't a stupid girl, and is not a girl without anyone in her life (her friends in philly, her mother,...). I don't believe that her choice was either strip, or starve on the streets.
Also, did anyone notice that she was striping when she went back to Philly for like 2 days???? Obviously THAT was NOT about the money.
  8. i think that she has no right what so ever to judge someone especail when she has her parnets to bail her out of a situation and she can't honestly say that if now one will hire her ever or get help from her parents that she wouldn't do whatever was neccesary to survive and it think she is very racist........
  9. you are using the word half wrong, its "have".

I am sorry but there are other jobs someone can get that is not being a stripper even if they need the money. My mom was single has 2 kids and could not get a job b/c she did not know English well. did she go strip? no. she found a job, even if it was housekeeping. that was still a job and it paid the bills. she worked overtime and she worked hard but she did not have to take off her clothes and have men disrespect her. she could have stripped and made quick money, but she didnt. There are other ways and that is what kim is trying to say. That if you are a stripper is not for NEED (u can get another job) it is because you choose to. There are many other jobs that you do not need education to work. And if you u are a stripper well than thats ur chose, but you cant say " oh its b/c i had to. i had no other chose" b/c then that is bullsh*t. Many women work other jobs b/c they do not want to strip, it may not be easy but they do it. And to say that stripping is the only way out is stupid and that is closed minded. People choose what they do. They are people who come from nothing, and they still get their self to school or something and make a name for them self w/out stripping.
  10. Kim! I soo so so Agree with you. There is always a choice. I totally agree 100% agree with your decription of stippers and strip clubs. They made to choice to get involved, and dave's idea that "maybe they have no other option" is bs. You Are Right! unless there is a gun to your head it is not a life or death situation and the girl can always choose to respect herself and take a different rout to make money.
  11. Everyone has their situations, and no one should tell anyone that what they do for a living is wrong. Look into Brianna situation she probably had the opportunity to sell drugs, but obiviously she didn't because she is making her money the legal way. I do have girlfriends who dance, and pay for their college tution and some getting their bachelor or masters degrees.
  12. I think that Bri isn't any different than anybody else in Philly that needs to make a lot of money quick in order for ends to meet. At least she isn't doing it illegally. When it comes to Kim...does she really think she's gonna make it being an entertainment host judging people the way she does? I mean if she's doing an interview with an african american is she gonna ask "What "ghetto" or "inner city blackville" do you come from?" As far as Sarah is concerned...don't say you'll NEVER do something because you don't EVER know what twists life will hand you.
  13. Personally if I was bri i would have been got kicked off the show for whippin both of those girls asses cause they talk a lot of sh*t about bri then they smile in her face. A chic from the hood would have done the same.
  14. i already dislike kim because of her blatantly ignorant and prejudiced comments on a previous episode...but this made me even more annoyed. i find it ironic that someone who claims to be so moral and God-fearing can judge a stripper when she's screwing a guy in the house who has made it clear that she means nothing to him but a good time sexually. how does that make her any better?
  15. brianna is not from philly. she's from the suburbs.
