As if Heidi and LC didn’t have enough to be competitive about, here comes word that Ms. Montag’s fashion line, Heidiwood, is a surprise hit. The line was stocked at Kitson — L.A.’s boutique-to-the-tragically-hip on famed Robertson Boulevard… and has completely sold out. Kitson claims that there won’t be any new shipments until summer or fall lines are debuted. Better get your butt over to Anchor Blue if you want to be part of the trend.
And, as an equal opportunity promoter, LC’s clothing line is likewise just a click away on her Web site. Warning: Do not mix and match.

ehh even though Heidi is not my favorite person in the world I am happy that her fashion line is doing well. Also happy how well LCs’ line is doing too

i dont liek heidi and i will definetly not by anything from her line. i think she is so mean how she wont let stephanie be freinds with lc. shes not incharge of her. lauren’s collection i would definetly love to buy.

I dont get why people don’t like heidi? Just because lauren said so? I think her top is cute and in no way trashy people just jump on her because Lauren. Congrats to heidi, taking her fame and making something with it…

I have to admit I and w/team Lauren BUT I purchased the zebra tank and LOVE IT!!

Heidi Clothing line is nothing special. The clothes look just like all the other clothes out there. Just ordinary.

i don’t like Heidi she is a selfish girl. she tells Stephanie she can’t be friends with LC and that she has no loyalty when Heidi is friends with Audrina. it’s the same thing. and Spencer is sutch a bad brother. i hope LC and Heidi never be friends again. if my bestfriend spred a sextape rumor about me i would never talked to her ever again!

Congratulations on the “Heidiwood Sell Out” of its spring collection at Kitson. It would appear that the targeted demographic it was created for and marketed to was responsive—initially a successful venture. The difficulty is cultivating an on-going relationship with your clientele and continuing to producing future lines that accomplish that goal. All designers have the same difficulties and pressures placed on them following a successful launch; to maintain or surpass the initial buzz of the first product line, proving you have staying power and it was not simply a fluke.
As to the whole Heidi vs. LC chatter… Heidi will be inevitably be linked with Lauren for the foreseeable future, simply because that is how most people were introduced to Heidi, through Lauren’s spinoff show from Laguna Beach. Even if Lauren and Heidi had equal billing on the show, Lauren was the familiar face and personality most people were originally tuning in to watch. If you think back to the premier of ‘The Hills’ show, great detail was giving to LC leaving home, saying goodbye and even driving to her new apartment. When LC arrived at the apartment, Heidi had already moved and was lying in the sun talking to Audrina. The only preamble to Heidi’s arrival or existence was that this is LC’s best friend, Heidi, and she will be living with her in the Hollywood Hills.
Heidi clearly has the support of Spencer; or does she need Lauren’s show to be relevant? That is the question everyone asks or assumes to know. It would be nice to see Heidi make a move to breakout on her own by leaving ‘The Hills’ completely and truly standing on her own two feet. She could earn credibility and respect on her own within the entertainment and design industries by making such a bold move, welcoming the perils of uncertainty. Otherwise, she will always be seen as riding Lauren’s coattails, whether it’s fair or not; and comparisons between the two will continue with no end in sight.
