Usmagazine.com is reporting that last night’s season premiere of Gossip Girl barely came close to that of The Hills premiere on March 24. Although GG scored 2.4 million viewers, which combined with One Tree Hill resulted in The CW’s highest rated Monday ever for its target demo, they would have needed to double their viewership to trump the Hills numbers. In this case, truth is definitely stranger than fiction. Or at least more entertaining.

I love both shows but i kinda like The Hills better. GG gets kind of boring and in the Hills new drama is always starting and unexpected things happen like things between Lauren and Heidi. Also i think Lauren and Audrina are soo pretty.

Gossip Girls!!! Of course. The hills can always be watched later on line. It's not as entertaining. Plus the girls from the hills really need to get a life and grow up.

I love Gossip Girl and thought they had an awesome opening episode for the new season! I do like the Hills, but Gossip Girl is my favorite...also come the guys are HOT!!! haha

come on, besides, how long can you keep telling the same old story...Lauren bitches about Heidi to her friends..then gets all sentimental because people talk to heidi and finally...of course, the never ending Heidi-Spencer drama..
please, GG and OTH are a milliiiiionn times better than this crappy "reality" show

The hills gets old. Lauren needs to stop being so imature and get over the whole heidi situation. She hates heidi's boyfriend..so she will hate her come on. I mean atleast she can keeps her. Unlike lauren. Anywayz GG is just fun to watch.

thats a hard one but i like gossip girl better because you never know whats gonna happen next. plus i love blake lively and chace crawford. i also like the hills but it is a little predictable and never ending sometimes. the only one i really like on that show is lo. the rest of them are not that likable. but the funny thing is i didnt watch any of the premieres on tv because one night i was at a concert and the other i was in another country.

The Hills is an awesome show. Whoever can't relate or doesn't care to relate it are just being difficult. Their episodes are related to everyday life issues. For that matter, no one should watch the soaps. They're the same only not screen-played. It's airtime is equivalent to The Bold & The Beautiful. So, go Lauren, keep up the good work! you went to People's Revolution to support your friend and look at what you got blessed with. So, keep up the g/w and shake the haters off!!!!!!

So I haven't seen GG yet...but I have seen the previews and uhm...I totally think The Hills is better. I mean all of ya'll can say that Lauren needs to grow up all you want, but who hasn't been in her situation? You know feeling like the whole world is out to get you and not being able to trust anyone. Honestly if anyone needs to grow up I think it's Heidi by far. She just needs to accept the fact that Lauren will come to her when she is ready and stop trying to be-friend Audrina and get dirt on Lauren. It's sooo annoying! I can see why Lauren is so resistant to forgiving Heidi. Maybe if Heidi had of backed off from the beginning and respected Lauren's decision everything would be fine right now. I've had many friends like Heidi and she kind of strikes me as the type of girl who is so scared of losing Lauren that she is too clingy and suffocating her. I mean come on! Anyways ya I totally love The Hills. Way better than GG. As a girl I can totally relate.

Although gossip girl is fake, the drama

i would have to say the hills i mean i cant just leave lauren like that i mean i wached her back when she was on laguna beach and i feel like i grew up with her. i def watch every episode just like you call your friends to catch up.

Gossip Girl wins hands down. Spencer has nothing on Chuck. Hot Chuck will have Spencer for breakfast. LOL. Chuck has grown on me since the last episode before the strike. Chuck Bass is divine. :D I love Gossip Girl because I looooooveeeee their high fashion clothes. All of them have different styles. The story is fictional, but maybe that's why it's so interesting. Anything can happen in Gossip Girl. I love Jenny's purple Valentino purse, too. :D

In The Hills, as much as I love the show, every girl is wearing the same type of clothes. And the drama. I'm getting tired of the Lauren-Heidi feud. I watch and all I see is regression of the characters. No development and improvement. All the girls seem to become nastier every episode. No, I can't relate to Lauren because even though I have been betrayed before by friends and bfs, I never behaved like she does now (being controlling and full of venom towards anyone who doesn't agree with her). Lauren is 22, she's 3 yrs older than me; and yet she acts like my cousin, who is 12 yrs old. :D

Gossip Girl is by far better than The Hills. Even tho I do love The Hills, I'd rather watch G.G. on any given day.
This ongoing beef with Lauren and Heidi is so ridiculous. WHO CARES?!?!?! Either they're gonna be friends or they're not. Either way it's really not that serious. I do have a fond place in my heart for the girls tho (L.C., Lo, Audrina and Whitney). But seriously..... Let's act like grown ups, ladies. Sometimes, I swear I'm watching 13 year-olds. Who really gives a crap if Audrina wants to date/be friends/hook-up/go to dinner with or whatever with Justin Bobby. She's a grown ass woman. Geez!
And Gossip Girl. My true love. Blake Lively is amazing. And I don't know everyone else's real name but they're amazing too. Lol. And whatever this talk is about Chuck, I completely agree. I always though he was hot cuz... he is. I definitely love his character a lot more now tho. I loved him before cuz I got this thing for guys with that 'rebels without a cause' syndrome/deep down I just wanna be loved and appreciated thing. But uh, in conclusion of this long comment...... GOSSIP GIRL IS MY LOVE. But I still am very fond of The Hills. Don't be a hater people. You can love both. Can't we all just get along???

I actually watched Gossip Girl, which premiered at 8PM, followed by One Tree Hill at 9PM, and The Hills is on at 10PM. Therefore, I am able to watch all three shows :]

Whom ever say anything BAD about the hills..gotta be INSANE!!!!with that being said" I absoluetly love the hills, u guys should make it a real tv show..{i watch everytime i get a chance}. where ever there's the hills there's me in front of the tv screen.Its so great for the younger reviwers. However; i dont see how people compare the hills and GOSSIP gurls..cause there both two amazings shows . For one gossip gurls is a tv show and the hills is reality!! So give me one reasoins why there being compare. I love u lauren and hope ur reading it....ur the best..MUZZAHH♥

I love the hills soooooo much better than gossip girls! GG is realy stupid. and the people on it all look and act stuck up. On the hills atleast its about REAL drama unlike GG who makes up pathetic dramas that are sooooo incredibly boring.

I love gossip girl and the hills they're both brilliant !
so i cannot decide which is my fav !
although the hills has been on longer so that practically is my childhood and i look up to lauren soo i dont know. but gossip girl is fresh and new sooo... still both the best i love newport harbour aswell :] x
