Lesson No. 2: Gather information.
These words make you think of the Internet, don’t they? Well, the Internet is a fine place to start by getting background knowledge, but then you need to get off your tush and talk to actual, live humans, face to face. Writing about diets? Talk to a local nutritionist or pediatrician. Writing about immigration? Talk to a local immigration lawyer. If you’re worried that potential sources may not want to talk to you or may be rude to you because you’re a teen, you’ve got to suck it up and move past your worries. The first time you get that doctor or school board member to talk to you, you’re going to feel fantastic.

Lesson No. 3: How to keep students from being horrible people.
It may be hard to control the spawns of satan that are in your class but they seem to respect you. I believe you should back Amanda and perhaps explain there is a reason she got the position so these horrible teenagers get off her back and start treating her with respect. So maybe that was the wrong title for Lesson 3, it should be RESPECT.

Lesson No. 3: Respect
I think you should teach these students respect. They obviously do not have it. They seem to respect you and like you I think that you should back Amanda. Tell them why you chose her so they would get off her back. I cannot believe that a teacher is letting this happen in her classroom.
