On tonight’s premiere episode of The Paper (10:30pm EST), some students are reduced to tears while others gloat in their success. Ya think The Hills has drama? Wait ’til you meet the budding journalists at Cypress Bay High School. They are loud, proud, and just a tad bit emotional. But more than anything, they are so real.

While watching “The Paper,” my roommates and I had a question: Is it appropriate to show the game beer pong on television with high school students drinking?

I realize that sometimes relity shows don’t show the whole truth but it was soo funny that all of the prospective editors were talking crap about Amanda behind her back then that brunette chick told Amanda that she “belittles people”-lol. People are so disgunstingly halarious.
p.s. to blake…the kids knew the cameras were there so i guess they didn’t care that they were drinking on tv

wow amanda… you’re so amazing. everyone else is crazy. they are acting like idiots and are now showing why you are the one who really desearves it. i can’t believe how stupid they look.

I, too, thought it was strange that they were showcasing underage drinking. I also think that the drama directed at Amanda is ridiculous. Obviously, since she was well done and prepared with her essay, she is the most qualified because she gets her job done.

My students watched this today as a class — a newspaper class — and it was so funny despite the “show” drama — they could see themselves and each other in the characters. This looks like it is going to be a good, fun show.
