On the latest True Life, three Lauren Conrad wannabes head to Fashion Week to pursue their dreams. All I gots to say about this one-hour special is this: fashion industry people are frightening.
One of the girls, Stefanie, just so happens to work for Whitney Port’s new battleaxe boss, Kelly Cutrone. Watch her break out in nervous hives as KC orders her around. Stefanie’s responsibilities include removing the yolk from KC’s hard-boiled eggs, fetching skim lattes, and picking up dry cleaning. She doesn’t have time to eat, sleep, or say a quick “hello” to her mom on the phone. In this show, the devil doesn’t just wear Prada – she wears bizarro head wraps and smokes like a chimney. A job a million girls would die for? How about you decide…
KC lets out quite a cackle when relaying that she fired five assistants at last year’s Fashion Week. Watch the show to see if Stefanie survives.

she must be a pretty insecure woman to treat other women, especially YOUNG and INEXPERIENCED women, this way. There are plenty of people who have high pressure jobs, demand alot from their employees, and get the job done without being disrespectful and mean. This woman DELIGHTS in being mean. And does anyone ever treat her that way? No. Maybe somebody should, so she would stop thinking she is entitled to treat other women however she wants and enjoy it while she is at it

i’m willing to bet money that KC WAS treated like absolute crap and this is “paying your dues.” maybe she believes that this helps to sift out the ones who’re just there because they like to look cute and not really die-hard fashion/stylist career-minded. i think she just doesn’t want/have time for B.S. she wants the job done and what’s the point in sugar-coating it? if you can’t handle it, then kick rocks…
