Hey everyone! It’s Unique and Stephen from True Life: I’m Supporting My Family. I am doing real well and still living in Missoula. We are starting to get caught up with bills but it still gets rough from time to time…We are working hard and working together, and for the first time we are getting somewhere. Ashyn is going awesome, Cassie, Kris and Ashyn all moved out on Valentine’s Day, and are really happy in their new home. The girls are doing awesome, they have been working hard on their grades and making lots of progress. Dominick is fantastic and is really excited to start school soon. As for me, Stephen and I have some big news, and are really excited to tell the world that we will be getting married later this year! We are both very happy and excited to be starting our life together and being one big happy family. Thanks again for all of your support, it really means a lot to us!

Hey guys! This is Gina from “True Life: I’m Supporting My Family“. I want to thank everyone for their support, I’ve gotten tons of e-mails. You guys are awesome! I just got certified to work with people with disabilities. I’m so stoked about that! We all moved out from our old apartment into a much cheaper apartment! Things have gotten a lot better. My mom is working some odd jobs here and there, and my brother is done with school and is looking for a full-time job at the moment. He plans on going to college in a year and a half. My dad’s health has gotten worse. His kidneys and heart are shot. So we’re taking him to tons of specialists. My mom’s diabetes is now controlled, but she can do limited work. I’m still with my baby, Anthony, he ROCKS! LOL He has been so supportive and amazing. Well, that’s about it, take care and God Bless!

The first thing that comes to mind is “Wow”
u 2 women are going through unbelievable adversity and still somehow keeping your head up with positive attitudes and continuing to push through(and with smiles on your face too!!). You are both remarkable women and God has great things in store for you both as time goes on.
I am still touched by your story and truly hope and pray for the best for u both.
Unique and Gina–from the show u mentioned feeling disappointed in yourself and wanting to do better. But u most probably have learned this from your amazing support system of your families and friends, that u r both stronger than most and with your determination u will do wonders.
U have become role models for many and i wish u both the best in the future
    once again….”wow”

Unique, I really hope you read this. I just wanted to say that your story has affected me so much. Unfortunately my story is strangely similiar. Single mother of a son at 19 and taking care of my siblings on my own, I saw you with your head in hands starting to tear up while worrying about how you were going to pay your bills that month. I saw that and started to cry myself because that is me almost every month. The embaressment of going to the food bank from time to time and also having to dance when you are in such a financial hole are all things that I have had to do also. Working 40 hrs a week and knowing that is still probably not going to be enough is awful. I admire you so much for being a mother and not a friend to your sisters at this time in their life. They need that so much. Seeing you go through it and knowing I’m not the only one was actually comforting. In a strange way…Thank You. I am SO HAPPY to read that you are getting married! I wish you guys all the best! P.S. I can’t wait to make the corn flake chicken! Thanks again, Summer

  10. Tif Says:

Unique, in your True Life episode, you displayed a maturity far beyond your years and an amazing strength. Your fears of not being enough for your family are understandable, but they have everything they need in you. Your grace and determination are simply inspiring. Despite your money troubles, your family appears happy, and that comes from feeling loved. Thank you for sharing your story.

  11. Gina Says:

Hi Unique, This is your nieghbor, Kenyas mom. You girls have really grown! I think of Cassie and you all quite often wondering how things have been. I am so sorry about your mom. I had no idea. 14. Summer Says:

Hi Unique, I would love to donate thru pay pal to your family. Could I have the email where I can do that? Thanks!

  15. Jessica Says:

I would love to help out both of these families. Both of these women are amazing and a real inspiration. Is there still the paypal account i can donate to or some other way to help these families out? sending gift cards or anything like that. MTV really should set something up to allow fans to donate and help these families, while keeping the families privacy and safety. Good luck to both families. God Bless.

  16. Chelsea Says:

Both of you are truly amazing. How can I help?

  17. Andrea Says:

Unique I am so happy for you and Stephen. I loved watching the show, and I am proud of you for keeping it together this long..don’t stop now, you still have your whole life ahead of you! Congrats to your engagment. You two should stay together forever. God bless you, and your family!

    :)

  18. CHRISTINE Says:

Congrats girl! The engagment is so good to know about-although I have seen it many times, I cannot watch the episode you are in with a dry eye- I too worked a part time day job and danced to support my grandmother (who was on a fixed income) and myself-for four years untill she passed away in 2003-I was 28. She was the last remaining family member I had & she had raised me. I cannot imagine having siblings and a child of my own to boot, while I was living together with her-You get BIG KUDOS there for being able to do that from me!.But when she passed away- I lost my purpose in life for a while there,& ended up homeless for a short time-it really made me realize what a strong will people can have to live & survive-just to be there for the ones they love & to be able to provide for them no matter what. SO- I know how big your heart is- all of your perseverance and hard work will pay off someday- I hope to God it is now-for you and your family. Its been two years since I stopped dancing- and I know now since I have a stable job and many lessons under my belt-I wont go back. I too am now engaged and will certainly have to show some love for the pole by putting one in our basement someday! (-; LOLOL~! The urge to jump up on one and have fun, doesnt seem to want to leave - but as you know- the rest of the business is a stepping stone to pass over while we’re young in platform heels! ~Leg tricks & Pole Flips~ You’ve got a Friend in PA God Bless you Unique & your Family

Hello to both Unique and Gina,

I am just in awe of the strength that you both have and what you have been through in your very young lives. I am a middle age married mom with 3 teenagers and I know how hard it is for me but cannot fathom what both of you have had to endure. So sorry about your mom, Unique. I cannot get through watching your episode without shedding tears for you and your family. Gina, sorry to hear about your Dad’s decline in health and pray the doctors can do more for him. I know you will make an excellent doctor. With your kindness and compassion you will do awesome.

God is walking beside and holding you both up. You are both two beautiful young ladies. God Bless and His continued love and support to you all.

    Your friend,
    Beverley from oregon

  21. Cinny Says:

both of you girls have a hard road that was given to you. Alot more your age should have to watch this episode so they can see what life is really like. Then they would not boo hoo about just taking out the trash and doing the dishes.
Good luck to you both and glad to know things are going better for you to be able to have some life time of your own This will make you the very strong person to handle all life throws at you
