Hey guys, it’s Deborah! Since the show Joey and I got married and moved into a bigger apartment where Elijah has his own room and space. Elijah’s modeling is going well, and everyone at castings tells me how gorgeous he is and a lot of “Isn’t that the baby from True Life?”
He’s learning to walk. He jumped from rolling around to trying to stand on his own. He is a VERY independent baby. He loves to smile, giggle and destroy whatever he sets his eyes on…
Ever since the show aired I’ve had young women telling me what an inspirational story we had because I wasn’t the only person going through the religion issue with a spouse. Young Israelite women come up to me or even call me asking how am I doing, how is my family dealing with it? I tell them your family can only teach and guide you for so long, the rest you have to deal and figure out yourself, you have to think ‘is this your life or theirs’? Is love keeping you guys together?
So many people get married for the WRONG reasons but in our case we got married because we know and love each other very much.

Hey, it’s Jenna, and since the show I have been raising Chance 24/7 and I absolutely love it! I moved back with my mom temporarily because at the last minute I decided not to move into the place Jay and I were going to stay at. Jay and I got back together a few months after the show aired and we are doing way better than we were before. Jay is a good dad and sees Chance all the time…I’m really glad he stepped up to the plate. I’ve been working out a lot because when I saw myself on tv I thought I was HUGE and I defintely wanted to get back to the size I was before I was pregnant.
Chance is now crawling and saying words such as “ba-ba, la-la, ma-ma, na-na, and da-da.” His first words were actually “ma-ma” haha take that Jay! Chance is growing up so fast I can’t believe it. Sometimes I miss being pregnant and being able to feel him move inside of me but it’s nothing compared to experiencing him “outside the womb.” Chance is my world and who knew an unplanned pregnancy would turn out so perfect. No one knows the meaning of true love until they’ve had a part in creating a life and I’m so honored to have been chosen to do so…

Hey Dedorah, I think it’s great that you are in love and have a family. Congratulations on your marriage. You are insprirational to everyone of any religion. It is a big step but when it’s worth it you fellow what your heart says.
My Mom saw your episoded first and she was telling me about the religion conflict and how cute Elijah is.
He is definitely a cutie.

Deborah, congrats on the marriage. It’s good to see you and joey worked out your difference, and you guy’s stuck it out and became a family. There are not too many young people who do the right thing by settling down and making it work. I believe you too set a good example for others, I wish you all the best and your son is beautiful. Hi Jenna, you looked great as a pregnant woman. I had my munchkin right after the show aired and I have to tell you…I didn’t look nearly as good as you. I am still working on getting my body back. I am a college student, mother, and wife which gives me so little time to work out. Not that that is a good reason, but its mine.

I’m glad to hear that you ladies are doing well! Elijah and Chance are simply gorgeous:) Deborah, when I first saw your episode, I thought you were so pretty and funny, and viewers could really see the love between Joey and yourself! Arguing over religion and cross necklaces is absurd especially when you’ve had premarital sex and you’re having a child out of wedlock…that usually goes against all “Religious” teachings

Just thought i would respond to Jenna. She is right. “No one knows the meaning of true love until they’ve had a part in creating a life” I agree. I have been there.. My fiance and I were together and i got preg unexpectedly and we broke up when she was about 2 weeks old and we got back together. But love is so much better when you have a little life to take care of with someone else.

Hey, I just wanted to say that Jenna and Deborah really got my mind thinking about my life. Even though I’m only 16 I really want to be a mommy, my boyfriend, Armen says that he wants to be a dad as well but the both of us are not really sure if we can handle it at such a young age. We have decided that if we are still together after finishing school we will get married and have a baby. I’m just so scared about the pain! He also says that if something dose happen like if I do get pregnant that he will be there for me always, and the he would help me raise and support me with our baby. I just wanted to say that I look up to you girls and I really respect what you two had to go through, I’m sure it was really hard. From woman to woman i think you should wait. Joey and I are of age where we have the educational background to get really good supporting jobs to provide for Elijah. Your young and viberate and should live out your youthful life. Enjoy your partner/boyfriend for now, get to know him because people change with age and the longer you guys spend(just the 2 of you)together you will learn more about each other, because a baby needs your full attention so you wont have the time to get to understand each other the way you could without the baby. Don’t get me wrong a baby is definitely a joy in everyones life, but then a mom and dad can make or break a childs life You have plenty of time to think about babies ok sweetie??? Enjoy your life, accomplish your goals and dreams first. I do appreciate you looking up to Jenna and I but what we show on Truelife is not just being mothers but strong women going through hard times, and executing the negative.
