Jojo is a good dude – he is a Simmons, after all – but he’s been due for a dose of humility, and you could say he gets his in this episode. It comes in the shape of dog doo-doo. That’s courtesy of the pup owned by Kevin Leong, Phat Farm’s VP of Design who’s been tasked by Uncle Russell to give Jojo and internship, then “keep a foot in his ass.”
Kevin, who gets more screen time than either of the sisters this go-round, happily obliges, and makes Jojo fold clothes, lace shoes, and of course tend to the aforementioned doo-doo. Jojo stubbornly refuses and complains to anyone who will listen, but unfortunately we never see first-hand how the conflict resolves itself, though it is later revealed Jojo bit the bullet. “That’s what interns do,” Kevin tells him. At Phat Farm, anyway. (I couldn’t help wondering how long Kevin let the doo-doo actually sit there until Jojo showed up, and then finally agreed to dispose of it). Moral of the story: If Uncle Russell gives you a book to read, you better damn well read it.
Russell and Kevin aren’t the only folks laying down the law, though. Justine watches as Rev reverts to tweendom again when he gets jealous of Russy and Diggy’s fascination with the Wii. So he orders his favorite arcade game, Centipede, in order to pique their interest in the Old School. It works, and now they have another reason not to do their homework. Justine, who can’t eat a PB&J in peace without Rev sneaking out of the woodwork counting her diet points, ain’t having that, and declares the house videogame-free. Moral of that story: Don’t mess with a woman’s PB&J.
