At long last, our favorite Buffalo wing-loving TV mama Justine gets a major story arc in Episode 9, babysitting/borrowing her sister Michelle’s 11-month-old daughter Ameera for a few days. But from the looks of the carload of cribs and clothes she drops off, I wasn’t so sure Michelle was planning to come back. Of course Rev and Justine are hoping to adopt, so the adorable Ameera gives them a refresher course on bringing up baby.
How does Rev fare with another little one around? Well at first it looks like Ameera might be a little afraid of him. And he seems more than a little freaked out to find the baby awake, standing up in her crib and staring at them at 3 AM. The next day Run looks to be avoiding the baby (or as he calls it, “stealing a moment”). He even discovers a new room in his house. But when the parents take a nice peaceful stroll around the neighborhood, they rediscover the joys baby-rearing, despite all the foul odors they emit. Michelle does indeed come back for the baby, but Justine is quick to beg for more, so I’m sure we can expect more guest spots from Ameera to come.
Vanessa and Angela are inseparable again these days, but not all that thrilled to find their Pastry shoes all the way in the back of Finish Line in the mall, especially after seeing Run Athletics’ Arthur Ashe line displayed in the front window. Hey, at least they’re IN Finish Line, right? They pay Uncle Russell a visit for advice on how to move up in the World of Sneaker Display Cases, and he characteristically makes them work for it, sending them to chat with a couple ladies from the Ashe Foundation (including Arthur’s niece, Luchia).
The girls then decide that they, too, want to team up with a charity for a new line of shoes. It ain’t the most original idea in the world, but they mean well and that’s all that matters. The idea for the shoe – a partnership with the Girl Scouts of America to create a Thin Mint sneaker – is pretty genious, though. Now tell me they’ll smell just like the cookie.

I’m big fan of Run’s House, which is a positive display of the African American family but, I was a bit annoyed by JoJo and Team Blackout…the last thing hip-hop needs is rich suburban kids pretending to be hard. It’s also bull that he used his father to get his foot in the door but wants to be taken seriously???? Hip-hop is continuing to decline we’re lucky that Jay, Nas, Luda, West and Common are still making music. Team Blackout will probably sell on the kid-hop circuit but adults will never take them seriously.
Bragging about Daddy’s money and how easy your life was isn’t entertaining. JoJo can ‘t be taken as a serious rapper because he spends too much time whining on the show.

i think its good that justine was babysitting her neice because that way run could get a taste again about how it feels to be awake a 3:00 in the morning because of either a son or a daughter which ever one you guys are adopting buti think its a really good idea

Hey , look this show is a blessing to those of us who who grew up living life during the 80’s and and to acknowledge that there is a choice we can make for the better and be very happy with who you are as long as you understand that, God loves you and you are not alone. I love this show…its so cool. they are a great, loving family. i was wondering though…where did vanessa get her coat from? i think it was the part when she went to meet with the guy at the soap she is shooting for. it was like a college vasity jacket. it’s so hott. i love angela and vanessa. if anyone knows, get mback to me. thanks:0)

Yes the oldest have a different biological mother. She stays in Queens. They showed her in the last season. Their youngest sister had a birthday party. They went over to their mom house and brought her gifts over their. I am not sure, if you saw in this episode where they mentioned her twice. Once was when Jojo had his graduation, and the girls went to get their mom. The other time was when The girls went to get a pedicure and they were going to speak at Girls Scout. Their mom was sitting in the middle.

I LOVE her!!!! I love all of them. No of the kids are rich spoiled brats! They are average kids. Justine is not a golddigging, money hungury wife only out to shop and spend all her husbands money. She is a real down to earth sister. And a real mom.I think her and I are around the same age.
2nd- my favorite episode was when she was looking for the hamburger and Run hit it. Cause Justine was suppose to be losing weight. LOL! That was me!!

Ilove this show,you gyuy’s have a wonderful family and most of all attend church.I remember when I was just a child going to the DEATH JAM 1&2, and had the time of my life.
