Katie Blair’s boyfriend – the one man surrounding all those beautiful women – sounds off on life, love and “Pageant Place.”Â
Where are you from? Â
Born in Englewood, New Jersey but was raised pretty much my whole life in Sugar Land, TX.
Tell us about your family. Â
I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters and the type of home where there is never a dull moment.
How would you describe yourself?Â
I guess I would be the type of guy who lives for the moment and doesn’t regret too much…Â I love that life is an adventure and you never know where you will be next.
How did you and Katie meet?Â
My 21st birthday was a week-long celebration so by my actual B-day I was too tired to go out and get crazy. So I came home to my house where my younger brother Joe had 3 girls over — 2 that he knew and one (Katie) that he didn’t. She was tagging along with her friends and it went from there.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
No clue…I don’t worry about tomorrow too much. It drives me nuts when I try to.
What’s it like being the “king” of “Pageant Place”?
Well I am a little shocked the way I come across on T.V. I am really not like that. But they love drama and apparently I cause quite a bit some times. I try to avoid that in every day life, yet I do speak my mind. It seems like everywhere I go now people are staring at me… some come up to me and want autographs and pictures but that really just makes me laugh.
Describe each of the “Pageant Place” ladies in a few sentences.Â
Wow. Well let’s start with the reigning titleholders.Â
Riyo: This woman is an absolute joy to be around. She comes off a bit naive and shy sometimes, but that is only because she can’t  speak English, in my opinion. She is really funny and dislikes drama.
 Â
Rachel: She and I do not get along as you can see. I try to be nice to her, but I think she is too full of herself. When I am  around her I get the vibe that she thinks she is a noble and I am a peasant. She is the type of woman who comes across as if she  knows it all, and feels like she needs to tell everyone the way it should be and what they should be doing. If she feels that way  then that is someone I don’t need to be around.Â
Â
Katie: love her to bits and she has had a tough year. No reality show could possibly show all she has to go through. She is a  special girl and very smart. Sometimes the loving stuff just doesn’t make it on your T.V.
Tara: We got off to a really tough start. I have a lot of respect for where she is today. It takes a real humble woman to take  responsibility for what she did in front of millions of people.
Â
Hilary: I don’t know her too well, but I like what I see. She is really nice.
What should we know about you (and your relationship with Katie) that we don’t get from the series?Â
That our relationship has been through fire and has been tested. We have made it a long way and do the best we can. We can’t worry too much about other people’s opinions about us.
What’s your favorite movie? Television show? Band?
Movie: Top Gun for sure.
Show: “24″Â - Jack Bauer is my hero!
Band: Mitch Robertson.
Anything else we should know about you? Â
I went to ABC, which is a Bible college, and that means only Theology for 8 months and 8 hours a day. I am intrigued by religion. [Regarding the show:] Imagine opening your life up to a camera – it really was a bit tough. I am shocked at the way I was portrayed, but I hope I made a great show for you guys to watch!!
