Meet Gavin Beasley.

He is currently making a living on his detective work proclaiming that ‘The Hills’ is fake. Who is this Inspector Gadget anyways? We all know he made a short guest appearance in last week’s episode. Why only one episode? It turns out that he wasn’t Brodylicious enough to capture Lauren’s heart.

We get to the bottom of ‘Gavin-Gate’…

Gavinâ€™s got his eye on â€˜The Hillsâ€™ No need to worry about broken hearts here. Gavin is a professional fake boyfriend. In fact his relationship with anything related to Laguna Beach is long. You may have seen him grace the fake arms of Hilary Duff’s ‘Come Clean’ video (which happens to be the theme song of LC’s original TV show ‘Laguna Beach.’)

But where did this dude come from?!

Oh wait! He’s told us! In hilaryfan.com circa 2004, Gavin pays homage to his need to be famous and how his number one inspiration in life is Britney Spears.

In a quick google search on this character, this very interesting admission turned up on hilaryfan.com…

The proof seems to be in this pudding, all he’s hungry for is a wee-bit of fame.
Well, cause quite frankly associating himself with Britney ain’t cuttin’ it anymore.

Are you kidding me? He's a freaking model, duh he is trying to be famous.

Did MTV ask you to write this? Because there has been way too much proof popping up left and right showing that this show is fake as hell.

Not to mention, no idiot would actually believe that cameras are allowed into a REAL work environment (such as Bolthouse) 24/7. Also, cameras CLEARLY don't follow Brody around all the time so whenever a scene is setup with Brody and his friend's getting "surprised" by Lauren, its an obvious fake. Also back when Brody was barely a real member of The Hills and we would see scenes of him getting called by Spencer? Another obvious fake.

Anyways I believe this Gavin guy a lot more than I believe anything Lauren has to say about how real The Hills is. LB 1 and 2 started out great, and despite the editing you could tell it was MOSTLY real. However, now that that franchise is pretty much over MTV only has The Hills left to ride on and is clearly trying way too hard to hold on to this "reality" show.

If Lauren's life isn't interesting enough to generate a TV show, then she shouldn't be on TV. Plain and simple. There's no need to make up a fictitious life for her.

To graceeeee, apparently, Lauren's life is interesting enough to generate a TV show...5 seasons of it. Check it out, hun. ThisGavin dude has proved he's nothing more than fame-hungry, who looks up to BRITNEY SPEARS! And the ego on him, "oh my gosh, I've done ads for this and that". I can't believe I didn't notice he was an idiot from when he said "I booked it" on the show and then tried to play it off as though he was joking. And the writer of this piece didn't say that The Hills isn't fake, he said Gavin's fake too so he shoud shut his trap and stop with the black kettles and pots. Well, now that he's earned himself a couple of minutes in the spotlight, how's he going to feel when doesn't get booked for shoots anymore because he made a fool of himself. He could have used this as a platform, but now he's ruined it. He's a young model, he wants to appeal to the audience aka the MTV generation, and if he's going around dissing its star, that's not gonna do him a lot of favours is it?

The cameras dont follow them 24/7...they follow them maybe 8 hours for 5 days...I think I read somewhere there days off are monday, tuesday.
So the show is not scripted but yes, the producers do set up certain "scenes" (i.e. the ketchup scene)

People get a grip. No matter what you think it is entertainment. Isn't that what we are looking for? Something to loose ourselves in for some time, something to make us laugh, cry or just cant wait to see what happens next. The only thing I wish is that we did not have to wait a week for the next episode.

Brodylicious?? It's pretty obvious why Lauren doesn't have a boyfriend, her conversaition skills are lacking, she never does anything fun, not attractive, what's there to like? How dumb to write a story on how this guy's going around telling his made up side of the story all because Lauren supposedly rejected him. If he liked her to begin with he would have asked her out the first time they met, producers probibly did make him ask her out just to add SOMETHING to this show that's going nowhere. MTV is just pissed someone threw out some valid information showing the series is fake. Just admit the show is fake. Most of the scences have voice overs, the camera is never on the person talking, and having the cast repeat conversations they obviously had before or were told to say..it's getting old.

i dont really care if the hills is fake. i absolutely love the show and so do my friends. i do agree that they might script certain events, like when the girls surrised brody, but most of it is based on what is happening in REAL life to lauren, audrina, brody, heidi, spencer and all of the other cast members. some of it may be fake, and some may be real, but it doesn't matter in the long run, the hills will always be watched, even if you're claiming you won't "cause it might be fake."

I think that it is kinda funny that when Lauren is on the date with Gavin she has red fingernail polish..then when you see her on the phone (supposably) right after her date, she has white/clear finger nail polish...Yeah this obviously is not reality.

Okay so what if the show is fake.. then don't watch it. I love this show and it's exciting because it always ends on a scene like what's going to happen next and you have to wait a week to watch it which makes it exciting.

Newsflash everyone. There is no such thing as "reality" tv. There has never been a reality show that wasnt at least a little scripted. But why does it matter? People watch it solely for entertainment purpose. I personally love watching the hills, and could care less whether or not its real or not. And by the way, if you have such issues with the show, get up off your %#@ and change the channel!

okay, i always understood that reality shows are scripted in some way. but, i've never seen so much effort on MTV to make up stories. all, the info u can find out about how the entire backstory is almsot false is ridiculous. i mean at this point are they on green screen in studio pretending to be on the beach lol or sitting in their apartment. wouldn't be cheaper to higher than to have lauren and her practice their lines and pretend to go to their jobs,etc?
what's even more ridiculous is that i will probably still watch the stupid show lol

Yeah... he mentioned a difference on the date that Gavin and Lauren went on. On that episode while on their date Lauren had noticible RED nails, then funny the thing is that right after the date she comes home wearing the same clothes and HER NAILS are no longer painted and her hair IS curlier! WHAT!?!?...i think the show is fake. They even say that HILLSIDE VILLAS isn't where they live, they only film there sometimes! WOW! Thats Reality for ya! Right!?! I STILL LOVE YOU LAUREN! This sounds like DAMAGE CONTROL to me...I don't doubt that he isn't taking advantage of the gift YOU GUYS gave him...The sooner you guys stop pretending that parts (majority) of some of your most recent "reality" shows have well, been less than full reality, the better off you guys will be. Right now it just sounds to me like more POSER MTV Corp redioric. To be completely honest I miss the old MTV. You should change your monarchs from MTV, Mtv2, etc. to MTV (old-music,news,etc.) MTV R (reality shows and other type shows), etc.
