Spencer listens to Heidi, reason #51 why he’s such a great boyfriend.
So I was going through the comments from the Heidi must not have enough enemies… post, cause I knew Spencer’s name would be unjustly mentioned all throughout it and sure enough I was right. Some of the thing’s people try and call him out on are so ridiculous. Case in point, this comment:

Ummmm, were we even watching the episode????…Did we not see how Heidi was acting when she was first discussing with Elodie the position??? She had the nerve to go “That’s it? So you started like a year before I did???” after Elodie mentioned she had been working at Bolthouse for two years. If you really think that Heidi didn’t want the job before talking to Spencer you’re flat out lying to yourself and I feel bad for you.
I love how this episode has stirred up a huge “moral issue” with everyone. The biggest mistake was made by Elodie for even choosing to share the job position’s availability with another co-worker. When describing the whole thing, it sounded as if she was practically trying to sell the job to Heidi. Well, good job Elodie, you just held up your career for however long.
Spencer, relatively quiet in the episode did nothing but encourage Heidi to go after the job. He tried to give her confidence by re-enforcing how much he thought she deserved the promotion. Him saying he was ready to help Heidi “step up” can be interpreted however you want it to be. Of course haters will say he somehow got her the job, but I’m skeptical. Listen, I don’t know what connections Spencer has to Bolthouse (if he has any at all), but it seems to be a well known company out in LA. If Heidi wasn’t ready for the job, they weren’t going to just give it to her cause Spencer made a request for them to do so.

I agree. I do not think Spencer had anything to do with Heidi’s decision to get the job. That is all on Heidi. I don’t like Spencer by ANY means but people need to stop blaming him for all the mistakes Heidi makes. She is her own person and has her own brain (however brainwashed it may be). It was her choice to stab Elodie in the back and go for the job herself. What else would you expect from a selfish, malicious person? I don’t think Spencer would have told her not to go for the job knowing how much Elodie wanted it, but it wasn’t his fault Heidi did what she did. Elodie isn’t innocent in this either. What was she thinking telling Heidi about the job opening? Just from listening to the stories Heidi tells her I would think that would be the first clue right there to keep Heidi out of anything you were going after or wanted. Anyways…quit playing the Spencer blame game people. Blame Heidi. TEAM LAUREN OUT!

Lauren, you have represented yourself well. Especially in front of the entire world. Good for you. Heidi, someday when you become a woman, you will look back on these tv episodes and be ashamed of yourself. I am sure your parents are embarassed by your behavior already.

I don’t think that Spencer talked her into it, but if she is like any other girlfriend, especially one with no other friends really to call her own, she probably ran to him for support and he said ‘do what you need to get that job’. im sure spencer didn’t sic her on the job, but sometimes the lil push from the person you trust (no matter how slimey he might be) will be the deciding factor. i agree that elodie didn’t make the right move by sharing it with her “friend” at the company… but im sure that she thought that over the years her and heidi were friends and maybe she doubted heidi’s ambition to go anywhere with the company. heidi should have been more proactive about a job that she think she wanted and heard about the promotion without having to hear about it from elodie, which still makes her a backstabber in a way.

I think Spencer knows how Gullible and naive Heidi is and he is feeding off it. Sure Heidi may have her own brain but she does what Spencer tells her to do. Is Spencer to blame?..No, Like Heid’s Father said That’s how she gets when she finds a man. Heidi is spineless and she should be glad Lauren has been conducting herself in a classy way, because where I’m from Heidi would have gotten her a-s-s kicked. She’s straight up trifling and I hope Elodie don’t speak to her anymore on a personal level. And Jen Bunney, I don’t know why she wasted her time meeting up with Heidi, when Heidi dissed her that time Heidi provoked Jen hooking up with Brody..You see how Heidi is..Now that Lauren isn’t speaking to Both of them..Heidi wants Jen back as a friend..Heidi is soo fake.

I think that by the end of the season she’ll have no friends and in the past episode when her mom asked her where shes going to go if spencer and her dont get along and she said spencers friends and their girlfriends. And then when she went to go have breakfast with Jenn Bunny she said that she was never really friends with them! Whatever!

I have never replied to any thread to any show’s blog or discussion, but Heidi’s antics are inexcusable.
She has shown her true colors over and over again, and I didn’t think she was truely evil until this episode. She is a spoiled little brat who feels entitled to everything that she wants.
She is a shady person. From telling people about Lauren’s sexual mishaps (whether they happened or not), dismissing the advice of her parents, stepping on everyone in her “successful” relationship with spenser, and now burning every bridge with her coworkers, she is a miserable human being who has nothing better to do than plot against those people who once cared about her.
I used to think Spenser was the only tool in the relationship. I was wrong. It looks like their one bedroom apartment is actually a toolshed.
Serves her right…being with Spenser for the rest of her life should be punishment enough for all the rotten things she has done.

Heidi did the right thing. Its BUSINESS for God’s sake. All she did was put herself in the running for the position. Obviously, her bosses felt she better cut out for it because they picked her. She didn’t badmouth her co-worker, she didn’t steal anything, it was an open position. Good for you Heidi!

I think that Heidi is beginnging to show her true colors. She is her own person and makes her own decisions, but when you have the influence of a low life like Spencer it does not help. He is backstabbing and doesn’t deserve any true friends because she is not a true friend herself. I just don’t understand how someone can look at herself and be proud when she has done things like this. I just hope she realizes what she is doing before she does something that she will truly regret. I almost feel sorry for her, but what goes around comes around. She will get hers.

I don’t understand why everyone think Lauren is so above everyone, Don’t get me wrong I like Lauren a lot she great, but she not perfect or helpless, are we forgetting that Lauren was where Heidi is now just a year go with the whole Jason thing and DId we forget that Heidi stuck by her. I think that Lauren need to stop acing as if everyone is out together and that she is the helpless one cause I saw Laugna Beach and she is not helpless. SHe wants her firends to be what she wnats them to be and that not fair. You can’t exepect someone to chnage how they feel because you don’t like it or think it’s wrong.

I haven’t seen this episode yet, I have it recorded at home. All I can say though is that Spencer has to be the biggest goob I’ve ever seen in my life. From his cheesy smile to his incomprehensible mumbling he does on a constant basis………he’d disgusting and she has to be THE most gulible person I’ve ever met. They belong together!

I think Heidi has her own mind and Spencer wants the best for Hiedi so the job was open .She just decieded to interveiw for it . The managers are the ones to decide who got the job . She was the best person for it.You can’t take something away from someone that isn’t thiers in the frist place. The women that said she was her friend , never did I see her at Hiedi’s house or out with her doing anything at all together.A friend is doing things together . How can someone be so brainless that her whole life is ran by some guy that treats so many people like dirt. It seems like all she wants in her life is Spencer. Well if she keeps treating people the way that he treats them then sure enough she will be alone with him. I just wonder how a person can be in the public eye and after everyone says what a loser her boyfriend is they can still be with him. i watch this show just to freak out about the lives and values of todays 2Osomethings.I initially thought Heidi was the dumbest chick ever. and spencer, what an angry manipulator, i think he is with heidi just to show he could. and if you young women think he is a good boyfriend, please seek help. superficial.controlling.and I think heidi’s parents hate him!! how could you see it anyother way. i’m surprised how solid heidi’s parents are. I thought they’d be shallow and materialistic. i was happy to see that they are just regular folks. and heidi made no apologies for her family’s lack of wealth. when spen called his fr and said “its a whole differnt life here” he was saying how basic and middle class it was, not in a positive way. if you think her parents liked him, yikes. they let him do his thing, and are hoping heidi comes to her senses. ok thats all reb same age as heidis parents.

Now this is just my opinion and what I’ve seen of this imiture,little jerk…….he sucks and he keeps up more mess than a female.Heidi is slow and very dumb for even thinking this creep has any qualities to be a husband.He controls her in every way…her friends,their home life,her parents.Oh my god if he would have even acted a fool like that with my parents I would have whipped his a##.I hate Spencer and everything he stands for and I watch faithly waiting on the day he decides to put her silly butt out his house the same way he did his car.And when he does while she’s crying I’ll be crying as well full of tears from my laughter.I want nothing more for her to get what she has coming for being so absent minded blinded.

WOW….i m happy to know i m not the only one that doesnt like spencer. I hate Spencer and I wish him and Heidi would break up. Now thats out of the way. Heidi was being cut throat but that is business. She should maybe have been more upfront by telling her coworker “look I want this position too and I just wanted to let you know.” Most anyone else would have done the same but there were definitely better ways to go about it.

you know how they portray in the movies and television these two tiny creatures, one angel and the other a devil, whenever a person tries to make a moral decision… unfortunately for Heidi she only got the devil - SPENCER!!!… He advised Heidi to confront Lauren in the club and they had this huge blow out, when Lauren already stepped out to get some space… come on, if Lauren is her best friend, she should have at least showed some concern when Lauren was having some problems. Lauren was always there for her whenever Heidi was having problems with Spencer. I guess Heidi didn’t really value their friendship that much. Even after watching that Lauren cried to Audrina about how she’s sad that she’s not friends with Heidi anymore and felt betrayed - Heidi’s only comment during her live interview in the After Show was “it’s good that Lauren has some conscience”. That’s really sad. Maybe she really deserve to be with Spencer cause she sees her true personality in him. The guy who would say to a girlfriend that she should do anything to get a job. Hmmmm… maybe if Spencer tells her to jump out the window, she will.

To the OP. If you are going to use a quote, make sure you get it right please. Heidi didn’t say, “That’s it? So you started like a year before I did???†What she asked was, So you started right before me? And Elodie says, a year before. I’ve been here for 2 years. I think that’s where you are getting the impression that she was interested in the position. Heidi thought in her mind that Elodie and her had been there the same amount of time. I guess in Heidi’s world 1+1=1 Elodie should have gotten the job. She has more seniority.

Why didn’t Heidi just be upfront in the first place and tell Elodie that she was think about going after the job too. It’s not like Elodie had first dibs on it just because she heard about it first. Heidi should have just been upfront about it and she wouldn’t have come across as being such a sneaky #%?@~.

Heidi is gaining Spencer’s personality. I really can’t stand her. As soon as Elodie told Heidi about the job opening, I knew Heidi was up to something. She went home, told Spencer, he told her to go for it, even though she wasn’t that interested in it. She should of told Elodie that she was, but I wish the Elodie got the job. She deserved it more. And what Elodie told Heidi about her losing all her friends, good for her!

I wouldn’t entirely blame Elodie for it being her own mistake. I mean she had great news and thought she could share it with Heidi. I think that if I was going out for a new position and I was excited and thought I deserved more than the other than I think I would share the news. I wouldn’t say Heidi isn’t qualified but I do doubt she has as much experience as Elodie who has been there over a year longer. And from what has been shown on previous occasions, Heidi isn’t as professional as Elodie seems to be. Answering personal calls, going outside in the alley to talk to Spencer, letting uninvited guests into a private party. They may not show Elodie and all the things she does but as far as deserving the job Heidi just didn’t. If I owned the company and I knew of all the things Heidi was doing, she would be fired. But she’s a d-list celebrity now and as they say any press is good press. I didn’t know who bolthouse was until the show, and I’m sure that’s how it is for many others.

Of course we shouldn’t blame him. There is a lot of things he is guilty of but this is not one of them. I think that Heidi just lets Spencer bring out the worst in her and if we point fingers at anybody it should be her.

TEAM SPENCER, you have many points, and you are absolutly right that just because Spencer told her to go for the job, that’s not the reason why she got the job. But, Elodie was coming to her as a friend and explaining to Heidi that she was going for the position, so why would Heidi go and try to apply for the position? That’s the hateful side of Heidi that was rubbed off from Spencer. Spencer is lonely and so is Heidi now and they are going to continue to grow and be more hateful towards people.
