Back To The Future 2 has been on a lot lately, and I really wanted to discuss an alternate reality for The Hills in which the “playmate night” never happened and Spencer, Heidi and Lauren all got along, but it got shot down (feel free to give your thoughts though).
Instead, since we’re almost halfway to the halfway point of the season (crazy I know), let’s take a look at what’s happened so far, what the future might hold, and hand out some awards.
The Past and Present: If Season 2 drew the lines between Lauren and Heidi, Season 3 has solidified them. Spencer and Heidi are doing their thing, while Lauren, Audrina and Whitney are off doing theirs. Though the girls seem to miss each other to a certain degree, Spencer seems happy and that’s what really counts. He’s choosing to hang with his girl over his boys (as seen when he went to meet Heidi’s family, passing on a party he had been planning with Brody for two months), which is often a telling sign of relationship maturity. He also seems to be loosening up his iron grip on the relationship, occasionally conceiting in arguments with Heidi (see Hollywood mural). He’s not perfect, well I mean in my mind he is, but he’s getting better.
The Future: Where does Spencer go from here? Hard to say, but there are definitely some problems looming on the horizon. For one, Brody wasn’t happy with him for ditching the party, and Lauren seems to be adding fuel to that fire. Then there’s Heidi’s parents, who seem to be supporting their daughter’s choice in a man, but also seem to have a problem when it comes to dealing with Spencer’s overall awesomeness.
Alas, I’m not a soothsayer, so I can’t really say what will happen, I just hope everything works out for Mr. Pratt.

Best Spencer Line: (Episode 301) While Lauren is reading Heidi’s letter in the bathroom, Spencer tells Lauren to go talk to her, but in the coolest way possible.
Spencer: Let’s roll on her.
Heidi: What?
Spencer: Go roll up on her, right now.
Spencer obviously was brushing up on his slang skills in preparation for his rap debut on Heidi’s new single.

I finally figured out who Spencer Pratt looks like. He looks like BEAVIS. From Beavis and Butthead, just uglier.

You know how people are always saying that you need to get back on the horse and try again? Well, I think in Heidi’s circumstance, she just needs to get off the horse. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and I’m pretty sure she’s not getting it from Spencer. If they are going to be together, then so be it. But in the meantime we can all hope and pray that she’ll realize that she’s trapped in a bubble, and will break free.

It just seems completely selfish to me that Spencer just won`t let Heidi hang out with whoever she wants. I mean HELLO the playboy bunnies incident anyone? Maybe they will stay together but if they do not Heidi will leave the relationship with no friends and a crappy ring. If he cared about her he would never act like that at the dinner table with her parents! He seriously looked like a crazy person. When all is said and done at least Lauren will get the last laugh.
