Prior to Monday night, 2007 was shaping up to be a hard one for not only Spencer, but everyone that works hard and diligently over here at Team Spencer. The unfathomable “hate-parade” America was spewing on Mr. Pratt seemed to have no end in site, and I’m not going to lie, I was starting to crack a little. What do you do when your favorite person in the history of all of television can’t seem to catch a break with anyone?
They say that it’s always darkest before sunrise, and I guess it’s true, because after Monday’s episode… Spencer… totally… REDEEMED HIMSELF!
The haters aren’t going to want to hear this, but Spencer’s changing, and it’s for the better. For instance, when he and Brody were out clothes shopping, Brody starts ripping on him, saying married people don’t have sex.
Old Spencer would have shot his mouth off and said something that would have gotten everyone on Team Lauren all-sorts of fired up. New Spencer doesn’t say a word, showing that perhaps he put his days of talking to Playmate’s behind him.
Spencer also zipped his lip when he came home to see Heidi had painted over his delightfully tacky mural. Sure he was mad, there’s no denying that, but at the end of it all, he pitched in and finished the paint job Heidi started.
In the three episodes that have aired this season, Spencer has shown that he’s committed to making his relationship with Heidi work, displaying what one might describe as a “polished maturity.”
Jumping extremely off topic, I have to say I was very disappointed with the two arcade games he choose to put in the apartment. First he got “Centipede” which is soooo cliche. Then he goes ahead and tells Heidi that “Lethal Enforcers” would be arriving shortly. I almost jumped out of my seat impressed at his choice of an absolute gem from the 90’s. As the episode went on, we see that finally both games are in the living room. But wait a second…where the hell is “Lethal Enforcers???” Instead there’s “Area 51,” which absolutely sucks! Enraged, I threw everything off my desk, got up and ran out of the room. It took me 3 hours to finally unlock myself out of the bathroom and sit down to finish watching the show.
Listen Spencer, I forgive you….but you REALLY dropped the ball there pal.

I agree that Spencer made not only a smart choice but, his own choice to go meet his new finance’s parents and get a feel of where she’s from. The action, I thought was totally selfless and I’m real proud of him.
Yes, our first few impressions of him were horrible, but all guys mess up early in relationships and its their job to ‘redeem’ themselves if they truly like their partner.

Redeemed himself? PLEASE! He just wants to look good….get publicity…become famous! PUKE!However, he ruined that for himself by the “hateful” way he responded to Heidi’s mom in regards to Lauren. Did you see his expression and quick temper! How embarrasing! It is obvious that Mommy sees right through him too! Heidi, are you gonna stop talking to Mommy too? For dear old promiscuos Spencer? Uck! I can’t wait to get a laugh at the new rap single. No one hit wonder for you two! He has totally manipulated poor little “can’t think for herself” Heidi and it is sad….He only hates Lauren because she sees right through him! I wouldn’t be suprised if he was the one who started the “porn” rumor! I wouldn’t be suprised if he pinned it on Heidi! Just to keep them from ever being friends again!So sad, when you let a man who totally cheats on you, and laughs about it behind your back…come in the way of a friend that only cares about your wellbeing! Heidi, you should listen to your mother! And everyone else!

well i am not a big fan of spencer but i think he is sincere…he does love her and he wants to change and thats a good thing…heidi needs to not put her all into one person though…YO YOU ONLY 21….you are allowed to have friends or in the end you will be unhappy…in the future when you realize that you lost all your friends because of him you will see…but dont think that i am trying to come down on you…NOOOO….SEE I FEEL A CERTAIN WAY ABOUT LAUREN AS WELL….she needs to play her part as a friend…in the end she cant change how you feel bout spencer and its not like she has to date him….and spencer and lauren should go out on there own to talk about where it went wrong….just the two of them and work on there relationship…know there places and only give advice when its asked…heidi was there for lauren…and lauren should do the same…i know she wants to prevent her friend from dating the wrong guys…but thats heidis world and some things you have to let them find out oin there own…so i am not a big fan of spence…but heidi is and tahts all that matters in the end!!!!!!!!

Spencer did get Leathal Inforcers. They actually have 3 arcade games in their apartment. They might not show it yet on the show because it is taped months ago, but now they have their apartment in all the celeberty magazines and it’s completely finished. Their house looks good.

who the hell is spencer and what does he do? i know all these characters are trust fund babies, but how does spencer pay for this apartment? Does he have a job? go to school? or just live off Mommy and Daddy’s money?

I do think Spencer has been making an effort. Living with someone is a big step and if he didn’t care about her, he wouldn’t put himself through that. Sure, some people will say it’s because he’ll get more airtime, but I don’t believe that’s the case. Also, he could have easily blown off Heidi and went to Brody’s BBQ, got drunk and hung out with half-naked girls, but he decided to blow off Brody to meet Heidi’s family. I think he really wanted to make a good impression on her family and wanted to make Heidi happy. I also thought it was good that he didn’t make any derogatory comments to Brody about her family’s lifestyle (as other posters have done)and thought it was cute that he slept on the couch. I’m sure Heidi’s father saw to that, but thought it was sweet.
He may not be a choir boy, but LC says some pretty bad things about him and people think that OK. I even remember when he tried to talk to LC at a bar about trying to be civil to eachother and she, once again, exploded on him. She doesn’t have to like him, but she needs to respect Heidi’s decision and be supportive. I heard LC say on one of the aftershows that she only gives her opinion when asked, but that’s a copout. She freely gives her opinion and doesn’t care how her comments impact other people. She acts like she’s the only person in the world who cares about her friends and doesn’t want to see them get hurt by a guy, hello?

did you see the look in his eyes after he stopped arguing about the wall. when he said “your right hiedi…” i thought he was gonna snap and go all crazy on her. he really looked like he was about to hit her or something. either that or it was a cheezy smile as he spoke through gritted teeth to fool the world into thinking hes a good guy. and how about when he acted all childish with hiedi’s parents when they were discussing her friendship with lauren. it kinda scared me…

man i cant stand spencer or heidi i think she dont have a mind of her own and if i was lauren i wouldnt even pay no mind to people like them there never going to get married its fake and i feel bad when spencer breaks up with heidi and then whos going to be her friend just like her dad says she does this when she gets a boyfriend ends up with no friends period i just want to see in 2 to 5 years where spencer and heidi are going to be.

I can’t stand Spencer not Heidi!!! Both are made for each other!!! Both are not happy with themselves and can’t stand to see other people happy, so they find any way to destroy it. Both of them disgust, ESPECIALLY Heidi. She needs to grow up and learn to think for herself!

Ilove Spencer he is going with his heart and trying to act more like a grown up . He loves Heidi and has let everyone know that .He has stood up for Heidi. Brody is know ones friend , but his own . Jen Bunny is only out for herself .Lauren should be all by herself and stop puting other people down .

I HATE Spencer sooo much i cant even belive that people even like him… i think that he and Hiedi can go live in thier own world… At least Hiedi has a job(even though she stole it)but she works not like SPENCERS LAZY AZZ… i think they should break up so when they go to the REAL WORLD they’ll find that they DROVE EVERYONE AWAY cuz of theyre LAME DRAMA!!!! TEAM LAUREN!!!!
