Well, it looks like David and I are the veteran married couple amongst the Engaged and Underage couples. Being that we were the pilot episode, we were the first to get married. We are currently on the road with the Anberlin, Bayside, Meg & Dia and Jonezetta tour working for our non-profit organization, To Write Love On Her Arms. We just celebrated our one-year anniversary a couple of days ago. Luckily, our anniversary landed on a day off in Las Vegas.
As David and I were walking up the strip the night of our anniversary, we were reflecting back on where we started a year ago and where we’ve come. In one way, it feels like our year happened in the blink of an eye. But then reflecting back on everything we’ve had the privilege to do this year, we are blown away at how far life has taken us injust one year.
This year has driven us to never settle for anything short of our hearts’ desires. This year has encouraged us to believe that anything is possible in life if we choose to persevere. Please don’t get me wrong; this year was not a cakewalk. It was full of work, frustrations, and a ton of learning. But, despite all the difficulty, we know without a shadow of a doubt that if we pursue our dreams, they are absolutely possible. Our dreams aren’t always handed to us, but just because we have to go through hurdles does not mean they are any less possible.
So, this is in my opinion our year in a nutshell, the huge things in life are not as giant as they seem. Big things are absolutely possible and worth every hurdle to attain.

Hello everyone, it’s David. I can’t believe our show aired almost two months ago, and I can’t believe Lauren and I have been married for over a year now. It has flown by, but we have done so much in this year and gone through a lot as well. We continue to grow closer daily.
We are currently on tour with To Write Love on Her Arms, the non-profit that we both work full time for. We have been out for almost a month, and are just hitting the half way mark. This is the fourth tour that I have been on, and it is amazing to have Lauren on this tour with me. We are seeing all the major cities in the U.S. together. Yesterday as we were walking on Pier 39 in San Francisco, we were talking about what a great experience it is to be doing this together. The bands we are on tour with are amazing — Anberlin, Bayside, Meg and Dia, and Jonezetta. We have gotten to know them all really well and the bands and their crews are all great people. We have been able to meet a lot of the people who we have been corresponding with us via internet through TWLOHA, which has been amazing.
We are also getting “recognized” a lot which is really weird to us. Although, it is really cool to meet all these people who have seen our show and talk to them and answer their questions. We have also been able to talk with several young engaged couples and several young married couples. We have been able to talk about our experiences and answer any questions they may have, as well as ask any questions we might have. A few couples have even come up and said they have applied for the show, so we may be watching some of them on TV in the future.
With that said, if anyone has any questions we would be happy to answer any of them. Being on the road, internet is hard to get to, but we will do our best to answer as much as we can.
